Appreciate that...thanks.Respectfully, fair enough. I think the Leafs have a great shot at winning the cup this year. Best of luck.

You can have a MLB prospect and the Leafs first.Andreas johnsson + first round pick from the leafs I'd do it or a prospect on the Marlins
When a report says "LA is looking for a 1st plus a prospect..." one would assume the 1st is the centerpiece.
Semantics. I would say both are equally valuable. For me the prospect is more a centerpiece since the pick is late first rd. Now if the pick was top 10-15. This would qualify as a centerpiece. The centerpiece of the deal is the 1st round pick.. Seeing how they want a 1st round pick and a prospect. You can't expect Toronto to give up another 1st round pick in Sandin or Lilly for Muzzin can you? Tell me another team that would be willing to pay 2 first round picks for a year and abit of Muzzin.
Apparently not, seeing as that's the asking price.
Yes...because a non-playoff team is chomping at the bit for a 30 year old with 1 more year on contract.Semantics. I would say both are equally valuable. For me the prospect is more a centerpiece since the pick is late first rd. Now if the pick was top 10-15. This would qualify as a centerpiece.
Still the point is. LA will have options so I would not expect them taking a low ball offer over a good offer.
Tampa? Probably not...But there are a bunch of other teams that will beat that offer. Here’s hoping one of the other teams in the east ends up with Muzzin.
Well if the Kings best offer is a late 1st and a throw in like Bracco. They should just hold onto him till the summer because they could get this next TDL when he is an impending UFA. But my guess will be there will be a better deal than the one above.Yes...because a non-playoff team is chomping at the bit for a 30 year old with 1 more year on contract.
All fair points. i wish them the best, and hope they get a good deal.Well if the Kings best offer is a late 1st and a throw in like Bracco. As to Leafs fans also. If they would rather go into the playoffs depending on Zaitsev and Hainsey in their top 4. That's fine. I am not sure what Dubas will do? His valuation in past trades would not make me confident if I were a Leafs fan. So maybe they should just sit this one out.All fair points. i wish them the best, and hope they get a good deal.
I am definitely open to moving Muzzin to a team in the Western Conference, or even within the Pacific Division. It doesn't matter where he goes. All that matters is getting the best return possible.Tampa? Probably not...
Boston? Don't see it...
Montreal? They could use him...i have seen their offers in here...
Buffalo? Not so sure....
Washington? Doubt they are asking...
Columbus? Meh....don't think so...
Pittsburgh? They need a LHD?
Islanders? Not sure their looking....
Canes? Loaded at D....
Rangers? Not sure a rental is in their plans...
Those are the teams either in, or within striking distance of the playoffs (being generous with Canes/Rangers). What deals do you see there?
Which they probably will before overpaying in a panic trade. As to Leafs fans also. If they would rather go into the playoffs depending on Zaitsev and Hainsey in their top 4. That's fine. I don't think they should trade him pending overpayment. Rather move Martinez and keep Muzzin for a re-tool.
Muzzin has faced the lowest Quality of Competition among LA's top-4 defensemen. That should probably be noted before calling him a "1st pairing D" and "best defenseman on the team this season."
Passing on significant assets in order to re-sign Muzzin to a $6-7M AAV deal that takes him deep into his 30s would be the worst thing that Blake could possibly do.
A late 1st and mediocre prospect isn't what I'd call significant assets. If they're going for a full rebuild then sure but I doubt that is what Luc and Blake are thinking.
Ya; Edmonton is getting manhandled by the Canes right now.The price for Muzzin went up tonight. Kings fans, you guys are driving the bus on this if Muzzin is dealt. There are going to be some desperate teams wanting to improve their Defence after tonight.
Little nostalgia for the old days in TO lately. The price for Muzzin went up tonight. Kings fans, you guys are driving the bus on this if Muzzin is dealt. There are going to be some desperate teams wanting to improve their Defence after tonight.
Defense hasn't been the issue for the Leafs the last 2 games/losses....work ethic and effort has.Little nostalgia for the old days in TO lately.

Leafs can't make a deal....nobody wants our soft lazy players.Forget Muzzin then, sounds like we've got 15 or so guys that will fit right in.
