That's a terrible offer.
Isn't the asking price a first and a prospect?

Not sure if you watch much AHL hockey, but Bracco is a good prospect. He's like a Marner-lite in the way he plays. Smaller, great offensive instincts and vision with the skill to bring it together. He's obviously not elite like Marner, but should be a good top 6 forward in the NHL.

He would be a lot of what the Kings need and don't have. Very skilled player.

You said hes a RHD which means Right Handed Dman. Which he is not! And yes he does play the Right side of the pairing. Which if you know that pairing (Muzzin-Martinez), they are the worst pairing in the NHL when together. Martinez is at best average on the right side. It wouldn't be a smart move for Toronto to make. So please remove yourself from the conversation. Thanks
The hell you talking about, the need a guy to play on the right side for a PO run and he fits that to a tee.. you want to cry like the baby you are about him playing in his off side? Well that’s great but know that Gards is likely a goner and he can slot back to the left... your inability to even process that far ahead let’s me know you limited capacity in how teams operate... it’s need, fit and salary, which might I add he checks off every box plus he’s signed for 2 more seasons at $4mill...

They still pitching Bracco. He's a 50-50 shot at being a NHL'er. No GM is going to make him the centerpiece of a Muzzin deal. Who's dreaming this?
The usual suspects. Well it says 1st and a prospect so it must mean they can choose any prospect they feel like because nobody will be bidding on a legit top 4 defenseman with another year left on a cheap contract.

Is everyone aware what a "Prospect" is? A "prospect" is not a guy thats playing in the NHL right now.

That would be called an NHL Player. Is Kapanen a prospect? No. No he isn't.

Liljegren and Bracco are prospects. Both with pedigree of being drafted in the first and second round.

Not a chance the Leafs move Liljegren or Sandin plus a first for Muzzin. Both prospects are completely off the table. A 1st plus other assets is a possibility but that ask obtuse. The Leafs hit well with both those picks. Both are playing much better then the equivalent of a late first.

I dont see any offers coming in anywhere close to 1st plus Liljegren or Sandin.
Of course not. The only way I could see that happening is If we moved a guy like Zaitsev the other way. If were moving Sandin or Liljegren, at that point you're asking for the equivalent of another first round pick. So, two first rounders for short term Muzzin? No thanks

You could probably pry Granlund and a fourth out of Vancouver. You get rid of an aging dman enabling a refresh on your blue line and add a young emerging 19 goal scoring Centre. Not sure Van would give you the fourth...maybe if you added a fifth?

Granlund is waiver fodder at this point..

Jon Rosen states that 1OA and prospect is the baseline LA wants for Muzzin. Also that LA looks at Muzzin as a top 30 defenseman in the league. He is having a great year and LA will look to maximize his value.

Aside from that:
It will also be a buyers market.

It will also depend on other possible defensemen available.

LA wants to add speed and skill.

The centerpiece of the deal is the 1st round pick.. Seeing how they want a 1st round pick and a prospect. You can't expect Toronto to give up another 1st round pick in Sandin or Lilly for Muzzin can you? Tell me another team that would be willing to pay 2 first round picks for a year and abit of Muzzin.

When a report says "LA is looking for a 1st plus a prospect..." one would assume the 1st is the centerpiece.
You shouldn't assume that. It's a 1st round pick and an NHL-ready prospect. Bracco doesn't sound like he fits the bill.

Toronto wants to win NOW. It's a 1st and Liljegren or Sandin. Toronto has two prospect blue liners the Kings would be interested in, pick one.

Surely, you're not equating a late first round pick with something of great value. The centerpiece of the deal for the Kings is the prospect.

Respectfully pass. I hope the Kings get what they are asking....just not from Toronto.
