Marian Gaborik.

Makes all the difference in the world. The Kings lost three of those games last year by one goal. I think the additions of Gaborik and Pearson and having Carter at C will be enough to make up for it. Plus the Kings are actually getting offense from the bottom six.

I'm concerned about the d being exposed by the likes of Kane. But these Kings continue to surprise most of us so ill be watching and screaming at my TV like the rest of you.

Greatest home scheduling of all time. A Saturday night game followed by one on Memorial Day. If it goes six games, we get a Friday night.

Love it.

I'm already tired of hawk fans and their "madhouse" and the Kings will be gone in 5.

I don't ever remember the united center being a "madhouse" till fans started showing up after they became winners.

and like many have mentioned the Kings have a bit more speed with Gaborik and Pearson, a healthier Kopitar, Stoll and Richards compared to last year.

I'm not sure the Kings can beat the Hawks over 7 but I like their chances a lot more then last year and no crappy back to back games either.

I'm tired of getting last season used as gospel and the Hawks have figured us out and we are just going to roll over and Quick is overrated and so on.

Just like before the Ducks series, these guys don't realize what's about to hit them. Our best players are healthy, relatively rested, and have played two teams that have tried to use the Hawks playbook against them. We're practiced, we're focused, and we've got revenge on our minds. Quick's not going to spot them freebies from the blueline this year. Kopitar isn't going to get outplayed by Handzus. Bolland's not available to knock out our last remaining effective center.

The Hawks do scare me and have supreme talent--I do think Kopitar-Gaborik get relatively erased by Keith et. al., but that leaves the rest of our depth to run rampant, and this year, I like our chances of that.

The Kings are gonna bend the Hawks. Someone should take out Kane. If Kane is out it will be all gravy. He's like the only threat, and he's tiny.

What really killed the Kings last year, was just the Hawks balance and Kane going beast.

The Hawks bottom six has been awful so far, Shaw is also hurt and out.

Sharp is having a terrible playoff's (That could change). The Hawks are not playing with the pace they had last year (Thanks Blues).

Kings just need to not turn the puck over, go from there.

Four out of the Six games I thought the Wild were a better team than the Hawks. The Wild just couldn't score, The Hawks D and Crawford came up huge in that series.

Oh man, now they're saying Keith didn't mean to swing his stick at carter's face and it wasn't dirty lol. Wow haha.

Why is it that whenever Keith hurts someone and gets suspended it's considered an "accident" by Hawks fans?

So typical. Guy is a great player, but he can be dirty

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I would like to see Bods in there for either Greene or Schultz. Sit both, if Mitchell's back. I like our offense, but the speed of the hawx makes me question our defense.

I believe that. Of course he wanted to hit him but not in the face. You could see he felt bad too.

I don't buy that for a second. If carter didn't go down the way he did he wouldn't have done anything.

It's just like when you fight someone and you win its cool. But when you really hurt the person, you regret it. Doesn't mean its not intentional.

He did mean to swing at his face, but maybe he didn't expect the results to be that bad.

Nothing against you B1953 but sometimes I dont understand some of you.

You are playing in the Western Conference finals and then I regularly read that people would like to see McNabb with his 100 mph slapshot, Bodnarchuk or whoever in the line-up.

These players have played how many ? a total of 22 NHL regular season games ? They have yet to wear a Kings uniform. Unbelievable.

No worries, I understand where you're coming from. Yeah, it would seem like a gamble to toss in a rookie who has yet to play a single game at the nhl level into a conference finals game. I get it. But our defense does concern me. Against the sharx and the dux, they are a big team much like us, and without much speed. Hawx are a different story. Personally, I don't see it happening, unless we lose a couple of lopsided games, and even then, it's a long shot, but we'll see.

I'm not. They shut down the top scorers of the Sharks and Ducks, minus a couple of games both series. The Kings defense relies on a 5 man unit, not just the d-men. Like I said earlier, the Kings just went through two 7 game series against teams filled with fast, offensive players. The Hawks are built just like that.

It's really awesome how Schultz has come in and played so well for us. He has put to rest all the negative talk about how he had no place in the NHL. I love comeback stories like that.

I would love nothing more than for Kopitar to make Toews his personal ***** this series. The Toews crowd is so insufferable.

The fans and the madhouse, it's more complicated than "after they became winners". the previous situation with old man Wirtz completely alienated fans here. It was a combination of him dying, his son Rocky taking over, Tallon building the team and them winning. It was a perfect storm of a situation for them to rebuild the fanbase, both life long and new bandwagon conversions.

Guys i know that have been fans for 20, 30, 40 years even lost hope and didn't really follow the hawks during the dark days of dollar bill wirtz. Rocky has completely rebuilt the passion for the team and it is good thing for the league to have the hawks being successful and a very strong fanbase.
