his schtick is so tired

"i'm looking ahead, division games" like wtf is that? your season is over. period.

They're paid to play and coach 82 games. Everything is always looked at. What do you want him to say? Don't show up next game?

Honestly even if I tried I'm not sure I could come up with a more appropriate, symbolic, emblematic loss to eliminate us from playoff contention than a 2-1 home loss to Arizona with a shot attempt skew of nearly 70% That's the perfect stamp of how this season has gone. That crazy Martinez goal reminded me of the Doughty center-ice goal vs. the Oilers that was the hockey gods' last "haha, you wish" act that season as well

I do enjoy how psycho Michaels goes when a big play happens. Hahaha

Well, you have to admit those were two pretty crazy moments...the Quick save and the outrageously deflected goal.

I agree, he was appropriately nutty there. It was interesting to have such a crazy man calling our games since everyone from Bob to Ralph have been pretty mild.

Alec Martinez looked pretty dejected after the loss.

Yeah, made me sad :/ I know we rail on these guys for not caring but I know they do. Doesn't excuse their performance in any way but having been a competitive athlete I'm sure these guys are being brutal on themselves beyond what they're taking from us.

This team is just not good enough to challenge the up and coming teams in the Pacific Division for the foreseeable future.

To top it off they aren't young and inexperienced. They are getting older and are overpaid.

5 home games against Pacific teams after the bye week. Coyotes, Ducks, Canucks, Coyotes, and Coyotes. 1-3-1, with the only win against Anaheim. 8 gigantic points, against Vancouver and Arizona, at home, and they come up with 1. Outscored 14-9, including the 1 SO goal for Arizona. So 13-9 in regulation.

Rocky! He was kinda endearing as the game went on. Wouldn't mind hearing this dude call some games with a contender on the ice. Dude would be jack'd, for sure

Addendum to what I said above: most Kings thing at this point in addition to this game would be to win out while Nashville loses out.

I refuse to believe that Kopitar is done until there's a new coach that can utilize his offensive talent better.

Maybe, but I still don't think Sutter directs Kopitar to take laps around the opposition's zone near the boards. Pretty sure Sutter wouldn't mind if Kopitar took the puck to the net more often.

Kopitar rarely imposes his will on defenders in the offensive zone. In the last three seasons Kopitar has 53 goals. That's not good enough for a $10M cap hit 1C.

I think it's just so ingrained in his head to do what he does now. Make the safe play and keep the puck. Don't make a risky move and risk losing the puck.

Good ****ing riddance. Hopefully they can finish around 7 or 8.

This team has no kill mentality. Just going through the motions. Great defense and solid goaltending - as usual - were the only reasons they were anywhere near a playoff spot with a couple weeks left. When your second-highest points producer hasn't even cracked 50 points, you know your offense is a giant pile of crap. Same old song and dance. Quick gives up 2 goals and the game is done.

I'm not sure if Quick has been given more than 3 goals to work with since he's returned. Hell, I'm not sure he's played with the lead more than a few times. Same goes with Bishop. No goal support killed this team once again.

Happy to see Quick looks just as good as he always has and it's very promising after such a serious injury.

Bishop will be very good in Vegas.
