Kopitar is having a horrible season and costing the team but I'm not ready to call his contract one of the worst in the league. He's been in and out of the lineup this season, I'd like to see him healthy and with better linemates than Lewis or King before I throw in the towel.

Has he won one yet? Wasn't it McNabb that DL was referring to with all that **** about painting stripes on a cat and taming a tiger? So far the ***** cat option isn't looking a bad idea.
 
I've been trying really hard to hang on any bit of optimism this season, but these past few games has wiped it almost clean. Can't score goals, mistakes leading directly to goals, players playing far below their expectations sans Carter, redundant players like King and Seto, a **** backup in Zatkoff who makes me long for the days of Cloutier and a stubborn GM and coach who refuse to adapt.

Once for more than a 24 hour cold or whatever. He had 2 goals in the 15 games before the injury. He had a full season career low 16 goals in 14-15. Closing in on 2 of the last 3 seasons with less than 20 goals. They didn't have any offense before the deadline in 2012 or 2014 either, and Kopitar still got his goals. He was younger though.

We can say it's his wrist this year, and it may very well be, but that 16 goal season doesn't sit right. I think it's a legitimate point of concern as future seasons unfold. He can't be a 15 goal guy at $10m.
 
kings went from debating gaborik vs. brown to buyout in 2020 to considering keeping them to buyout the new captain. didn't think this season could have gone this far south.

also... is this the first allstar game where the hometown hasn't had 3+ members participating?
 
Zatkoff has some absolutely terrible body language. Could tell he was blaming that first goal on his teammates for the turnover and then Gravel for screening him. Just swimming all over the place. Can't imagine Zatkoff plays more than 3 games the rest of the season with or without Quick being back.
 
Hey guys. This is the first of 3 games in 4 nights! Only the true masochist is going to make it through this stretch.
 
This team needs a frontal lobotomy. Out-shooting the opponent doesn't mean you outscore the opponent. Trade whoever, but the Kings need to change their style of play. Their heavy game is so 2012.

Or promote him to tank commander.
 
Zatkoff is a guaranteed L whenever he suits up. Too bad Budaj is only human and needs recovery time.

That said, a lot of you posters sound as hyperbolic as my brother, who thinks that every smart person he knows is a genius, and any disappointment he faces is the worst thing ever. The Kings aren't winning and it sucks. But Lombardi isn't the worst GM ever who got lucky or whatever seems to be the sentiment. The expansion draft is really screwing with whatever trade market would normally be out there.
