Kopitar 12 mins (most of any forward) not a single shot on net.

I am not sure how much more of this Lombardi is going to watch, before he actually says, or does something with Kopitar.

You can't have your number 1 center playing like this.

If he is injured, you sit him.

Nolan/Clifford are not even hitting anyone.

This team has lost any identity it had.

Clifford's eggs are pureed at this point. Nolan is doing what he can, maybe he should be hitting more but I dunno, I feel he's been one of out more effective forwards on this trip (which tells you something about the rest of the team).

I'm all for shutting Kopitar down because it looks like he's actually getting worse rather than better, but it'll never happen as long as he can skate.

This team has lost any identity it had.

Nobody even trusts anyone out there, blowing easy coverages left and right.

A long losing streak this late, will pretty much seal the teams fate.

They will need .650+ hockey down the stretch to make up ground.

I don't think it will. Maybe a reminder that this is a year-long road trip and we've played two sets of 3 in 4 nights as well as a back to back with holiday travel and the team's situation with injureis and whatnot and we'd still be coming out of it at .500 which all one can ask for at this point. I'm much more interested in seeing how they react at home after this, january can make or break the season.

of course, we beat the pens and lost to the sabres, Dominated the 14-win-straight cbj and lost to the Canucks, so who even knows anymore

I think they were banking on injuries to decide for Gabo. They guy is injury prone.

Why else would you give an injury prone 32 year old a Seven year deal.

That's insanity.

Injury prone is one thing, retiring because of injuries is another. He can play 30 games a season because of injury, and get all that money. Alright, he breaks a foot. That will heal well. That won't keep him from living life after hockey. Other than a series of concussions, or whatever happened to Nathan Horton, guys don't give it all up with years on their contract.

Lombardi signed Gaborik in the glow of the 2014 playoffs. He figured the Kings still had a few years left as a contender. If Voynov was there for 14-15, and Kopitar doesn't have a crap year, they might have had a chance. If they had been able to add another Cup, then we're caring less about all the problems. The last 2 years have been a waste, this season doesn't look great, and it's only going to get worse with more guys getting older, and bigger contracts still to come.

Did anyone think the Kings would've had 1 playoff win, and 5 total playoff games, in July of 2014? Maybe after 2016, but not as quick as it's all happened.

Gaborik looked fantastic at the world cup, he's not going away anytime soon.

Wish he would.

That's like saying you look good in pre-season.

Gabo's last 70 NHL games have been awful.

13 Goals 14 Assists in his last 71 NHL games, That's Dustin Brown bad.

It could be worse, our boys are keeping a high scoring high skill team in range, we aren't getting blown out yet.

Yeah I really don't think this game is all that bad, but our offense is all out of sync and slumping. Not like last night's stinker. Still a decent road trip regardless of what happens in the 3rd. Big picture.

Really need to get Brown off Kopitar's wing.

Wasting Brown's energy, with Kopitar just not playing well.

The Kings would be a top 3 pick team right now, without the Depth players playing their guts out, and putting pucks in the net.
