Gabby is not the same, it's not easy coming back from a broken leg. Sigh.

He was slowing down before that, the guy is not in his 20's anymore.

Lots of miles, and lot of injuries. Gabo will be 35 in FEB.

I think the Kings were hoping Gabo would have retired by now.

5v5 goals per game:

Pearson/Carter/Setoguchi = .61
King/Shore/Nolan = .28
Clifford/Dowd/Lewis = .27
Gaborik/Kopitar/Brown = .13

A sad 4th line.

Not when he's getting a real salary in each of the years on his contract. I'd be shocked if he wasn't here through April of 2021. It would be a ridiculous stroke of good luck if he wasn't.

I think they were banking on injuries to decide for Gabo. They guy is injury prone.

Why else would you give an injury prone 32 year old a Seven year deal.

That's insanity.

Seto get brutally held up on the rush, still gets the puck to Carter who just misses the top corner. He had him beat too.

Not sure about that. They didn't have to give him the contract extension.

Seven years though, for a 32 year old(when he signed deal) with injury history.

If Lombardi expected Gabo to play that out, and be productive. He has lost all sanity.
