Let's get one thing straight - the Sharks aren't the ****ing Blues.

@notHelen

Sutter postgame is much more polite than i expected...and as i guessed, he said they dressed 7 dmen because they weren't sure a couple of their Dmen could get through the game

Guess Doughty and Regehr are still hurt or some of the other guys are

Hurt defenders coupled with slow defenders is a recipe for... well... seven goals.

Then why if all these teams would line up for that trade.....Do the Kings want to trade him ?

I doubt they're willing to move Brown, hell Lombardi called the contract a discount when it was signed so I'm sure he'll give it at least another year or two. But I certainly hope they're giving moving Richards some serious thought.

Looks like lots of injures on the Blue-line according to Sutter.

Sutter didn't look mad during the presser, just looked like (What are you going to do).

Tells me Drew/Mitchell/RR are probably hurt.

Gabo looks hurt as well.

How Sutter managed his forwards' ice time:

Kopitar: 20:46
Carter: 20:19
Brown: 16:42
Richards: 16:14
Lewis: 16:10
King: 15:49
Stoll 15:38
Gaborik: 13:07
Williams: 12:15
Toffoli: 11:45
Clifford: 8:18

Ice time for Sharks' forwards:

Pavelski: 19:49
Marleau: 19:13
Couture: 19:06
Burns: 18:55
Thornton: 18:51
Wingels: 15:30
Hertl: 15:00
Nieto: 12:09
Torres: 11:43
Sheppard: 11:07
Desjardins: 10:15
Brown: 8:29

They should be willing. Brown really manned up in 2012 and helped us win the cup, and I think a lot of people will always remember him for that. But, it's also a business and I just see his game degrading over the next few years.

Injuries happen to every team. But that does sort of explain it. But still changes need to be made.

Or putting a bunch of rookies on the back end next year. The defense will still suffer, but hey, at least it'll be quicker. I've said it all year we needed at LEAST two defenders this off season. It's a shame we need a bit more.

I would really like us to go all in for Matt Niskanen but other than that I'm not sure who else free agent wise.

I like how everyone thinks the offense is a problem......

You guys watching these games ?

Hint: The Forwards are not even the problem if you ask me.

They are part of the problem with their turnovers, lack of possession, and with some terrible effort on the backcheck. Notice how many trailing forwards scored on the rush for the Sharks? All started with counter attacks due to the Kings' turning the puck over when they had possession. The forwards are a part of the problem.

i dont buy the injury excuse. look at St Louis battle through their injuries.... they are taking it to Chicago. our boys are having problems playing a full 60 minutes and that is not a problem you should have come playoff time. the Sharks have been the better team both games and it hasnt even been close. hopefully this one stings more than the last and they get their **** together...i really, really really really do not want to hear it from the Sharks fans i know....

Random but if the Kings do move Richards it would be for a top 6 center. For Richards +

Oh yeah, that's it exactly. I'm now casual because I don't like watching the team i root for play half-ass. Give me a break.

Anyone who takes the time to post on these forums are more than a casual fan, get over it. We all care, regardless.

It's great that you think that you care, but you're already calling it a series, when we're only down 0-2, you give me a break!

Injuries and Fatigue are an excuse, these guys are human not robots.

The Sharks are a better team.

Still a little optimistic. Win the next two a home and it's a best of three anything can happen. But in all honesty, sharks a better team. Deeper, better and juuuuuust a little bit hungrier. Just not our year. Our lack of depth has been exposed.

If St Louis didn't get Tarasenko back Chicago would be going home with at least a split series. We don't know what the loss of Backes is gonna do to the team either.

On Defense BIG TIME.

Agree completely. Players don't just fall off the map to other teams. One of the issues I have with Lombardi is I think he marries himself to certain players. I think to stay competitive in this league you definitely have to inject the team with hungry players. I don't see the same hunger the Kings had in 2012. It's just not there. IMHO, they need to work the kids in there and show the veterans what they need to do.

What's the cutoff on new hungry players?

If you don't get enough out of your top players at playoff time, what are young guys going to do?

How many first and second round exits among that squad? They want it.

Agreed that they are a better team, but two blowouts in the first two games? Kings just don't have it. This series is going to be 4-1 San Jose, as much as I hope that it's not.
