Kings Lose 2-3 to Ducks in OT; Brown Lets Perry Live

The Jackets play hard, that will not be an Easy game for the Canucks. The Jackets are well coached, and Johansen is a tough match-up for any Center.
 
The one thing I have learned since 2009 is that the Kings play completely different in the playoffs. We just have to get in, plain and simple. I would not read anything from this game.
 
Wonder why Sutter keeps talking about how tired these guys are. Very strange coming from him and its not like our last little stretch was THAT bad. Gonna be worse soon!

People if coach Sutter says we are a tired bunch the we ought to believe him, we had to roll 4 lines tonight. We got a point and thats what we need, do we need 2 yes but we got a point. Like Sutter says getting in is the hard part, once we are in try and take 4 out of three from us in the playoffs where there is no 4 on 4 on shoot outs. Let us all stay on point of getting as many points as possible.

Kesler's exactly the kind of player that would come out on top of the Kopitar matchup. Zetterberg's another scrappy, pestering center I'd imagine getting the better of Kopi.

AV insisted on putting Kesler against the Richards line in 2012, which was a big factor in that series, allowing Kopitar to win the Sedin matchup.
 
Pretty much automatic if the Kings let the opponent skate towards quick unchecked with no screen. Also, losing the opponent at the slot after cycling behind the net a la Kane, no bueno.
 
Get ready for 5 road games in 8 nights! That will make anyone tired.

It doesn't help when 3 players, two being Kings get taken out moments before the guy scores. Kane doesnt need any help when he does it.

The Kings are coming off perhaps the most grueling season any team has EVER played. God forbid they play mediocre during the following regular season.

We once had the same problem against the Hawks and figured it out.The Duck aren't the Hawks, not by a long shot.

Exactly.

Regular season series means nothing when you meet in the playoffs.

...we just have to make sure it doesn't keep us out :laugh:

Remember all the teams that got to hang their regular season banners against us!
 
I was at the game and I saw no fights, no rude Kings fans, no classless chants. What happened?
 
Just got back from the game.

Don't let any Ducks fans ever tell you how ghetto staples center is again. Single worst hockey experience of my life.
 
Have you ever played there Brad? That was the worst experience at the Honda Center I ever had. It's super hot where you dress and the staff there are super mean, never smile and just want you outta there as soon as possible. So were the refs they hired. Biggest dicks in hockey I've ever seen. Never playing there ever again. A free game wasn't even enough.

I think most people are focused on the negatives, but this is a huge HUGE point for us. We were about to get 0 points there near the end, so I'm actually happy we were able to get at least one. Let's not pretend the ducks don't have the skill to get it done. They're good, but forget about them. This is moment we've been waiting for against the Flames. We're finally a point clear of them with the same number of games. Huge. Now lock down and stay in.

Bravo on both the current state of things and the work on that schedule.
 
A point is a point. Need a win out of the Flyers and Jackets tonight. Caps and Blues too if they want. Then Saturday is a big day. They've got 4 home games left, and they almost have to win all of them. Long journey, first step and all that.
