Kings Lose 2-3 to Ducks in OT; Brown Lets Perry Live

Muzzin's regression has played a massive role in our downfall this year. Wouldn't be surprised if he was a healthy scratch for Martinez, tbh. Both going to be getting paid $4M next year, I'm starting to feel that Lombardi might be regretting those 2 deals.

Was at the game, my god do they have a chip on their shoulder or what.

Great shot by cartsy. Why did RR have to leave his man? I'm pretty sure Quick was interfered with but I didn't have the best view.
Why did they have to bump each other and clear the shooting lane for kesler.
My take away...Dux fans *facepalm*

The Road trip coming up is brutal, Five in Eights days is ouch. Hopefully A-Mart is back soon, would be nice to see him on the ice again.

The game on Saturday at home is just as big. One game at a time. Have to take care of Vancouver at home, that's what's important right now. Huge game.

It was insufferable tonight. I think they're trying to create a hostile atmosphere.

This witch hunt for Muzzin is ridiculous.

The guy is still on the 60% side of possession even with that Anchor in Greene. Muzzin is still producing on Offense , even with the reduced minutes and PP time.

Muzzin is carrying that pairing, and Sutter has to leave him there or Greene/(Whoever) will give up even more goals.

The commentators on the feed I was watching were praising Kopi constantly, he made some great plays.

Kopitar makes some great plays every night.

But when you're the Number one Center, that's expected. Kopitar needs to be dominate down the stretch.

Or the Kings lose games, like tonight. The Kings don't have the scoring depth this year, for Kopitar to take nights off. It is, what it is. The Center depth is also bad, so even more pressure on Kopitar/Carter to perform.

This season the Ducks have scored 10 3rd period goals against the Kings. Remember when we didn't let that happen, to any team?

I actually don't think so.
The Roster is simply full of holes.

The Kings still haven't replaced a 20 minute Crease clearing Defender in Mitchell.

Stoll/Richards are gone or declined so much it's shot the Center depth.

Missing a Top Six Winger (Pearson). Brown is not producing(that hurts with the amount of ice time he receives)

It's a lot of things, I don't think (caring) is a problem.

Bingo.

This is an incomplete team.

I'm still not reading too much into this one game. If anything, how we played while behind in the third was more encouraging than the last game. otherwise, typical Kings/Ducks one goal game with momentum swings making both teams look absolutely pedestrian at times. They just have an x-factor in Kesler who has to make up for a history of embarrassment and keep up with their expectations for him.

Would also like to point out that Muzzin is having a career year in offensive production.

34 points in 64 games.

True, so when I see posts like "c'mon guys this is the Kings we are talking about.... Wait until the playoff!" That was the past, this team is different and they are doing uncharacteristic things compared to previous seasons.

I hope I'm proven wrong if they make it though, but I feel like all these games are finally catching up to them.

Giving Kesler full credit this season, he has owned Kopitar all season long.

Lets Hope Kopitar changes that in the playoffs should they meet.

I reckon he's going to stumble in the playoffs. If we get a series against him, get ready to see more tumbleweed and sulking.

I think Kesler is done with the diving antics.

I think that was a team wide thing on the Canucks. That whole team was just full of diving antics nightly.

Canucks , also Kesler, have appeared to cut that stuff out of their games.

If the pressure comes on and they're struggling, look for it.

Tomorrow's games to watch:

Washington at Minnesota
St. Louis at Winnipeg
Philadelphia at Calgary
Columbus at Vancouver

Highly unlikely that all of the home teams lose in regulation.

I have zero confidence in Philly or Columbus winning tomorrow. Solid chance that the Blues and Caps can pull it off though.
