We're starting to play better, but just a little. I like that the hitting is picking up. Might all be too little too late, but I'd like to see us push back and hit more for the rest of the game. The more we upset the crowd the better.

Not surprising that the further away from from dawn the game gets the better the Kings look.

Perfect shot by Oshie.

**** game against a top team. Move on to the next one. Loss earned, nvm whining about refs or any of the rest.

I gotta stop tuning in at the start of games. Can't remember when I watched a full game where they won.

Anybody know the Kings record in early games? Could just be me but it seems like this team is never prepared to play hockey in early games, no energy, no jump, fall behind early and remain flat the entire game.

Naw. He's done well, but not well enough for me. Our horrible record (horrible for a so-called contending team) in regulation is enough to convince me that it is time for a new coaching staff.

There's a context to those numbers. Especially this year. It's not Sutter.

The struggles against our big rivals, Ana and SJ, in recent years are also inexcusable for me.

Again, Sutter doesn't tell Doughty to go for a slap shot that gets blocked every time. He doesn't tell Kopitar not to shoot. He damn sure didn't tell Carter to leave the middle of the ice in his own zone when he was the only guy there.

It's better than you'd think, but even in comparison this is EARLY. And on a b2b.

In any case, I've seen enough chances that in a parallel universe we have a couple goals by now. We'd just still be losing, because Washington.

I think you guys are missing the point. It's not Sutter didn't do this, didn't do that on the ice. It's that sometimes players need a new voice despite the past success.

This is literally the earliest Kings game I can remember. Unless the Europe ones were earlier, but those don't count as both teams traveled.

IMO I'm not super upset about our play today, I agree, we've had enough chances, and most of Washington's chances are self-inflicted wounds from brain farts I haven't seen from this team since the first 3 games of the season rather than a systematic failure/lack of skill/horrible team. Do you ever see Carter just vacate the slot?

We just won 5 in a row and the play level is still high, we just have **** finishing today and brain farts against the best team in the league so it is what it is.
