Pretty much. Completely uncharacteristic breakdowns and miscommunications. Only part of that was due to the Caps being sneaky, most of it was self-inflicted.

Kings haven't scored against backup goalies for 2 games now in regulation, in Phillies case, a dumpster fire of a backup.

For those that managed to watch it, that's what a contender looks like.

It's one game on a back to back with a very early start against the leagues top team. Didn't expect anything more than this.

Toffoli will need time to get into game shape just as Kopitar and Gabby did .

We will be stronger when Quick returns.

Martinez is our most overrated player. His defensive deficiencies have stood out this year in my eyes. Hard to believe I am saying this with his timely scoring but he would be my first choice for a dman traded. Think he would fetch a great return.

I too am good for letting Sutter go. He just hasn't evolved with the rest of the NHL. Love him for what he has brought us.

Martinez is our most overrated player. His defensive deficiencies have stood out this year in my eyes.

Think he would fetch a great return.

It's going to be tough for both to be true. No other GM has the emotional connection to Martinez, so those current deficiencies will be looked at more than previous OT goals in the playoffs. Not easy getting a great return for an overrated player.

I also wasn't surprised to see how sloppy we were not just because it was the caps but because we came off a string of teams with no structure and little resistance. There were quite a few times a King was surprised to see his checker. Game should be a good wakeup call...

Young defenders got exposed big time, that's what top end forwards are suppose to do.

20 Sog and the Caps put in 5, that's awful Defense/Goalie play. Every forward was a minus.

The positive I see in that is--obviously with some score effects--we were able to hold a monster team to 20 SOG. Clean up the uncharacteristic miscues, add Quick, and we're right in that game start to finish with no issues. We can take on anyone.
