at this point with nothing official- wouldnt be surprised to see no trade for Chychrun at all, and wouldnt be shocked to see Kings make deal from left field no one saw coming.
A Chabot and Merilainen deal would be coolat this point with nothing official- wouldnt be surprised to see no trade for Chychrun at all, and wouldnt be shocked to see Kings make deal from left field no one saw coming.
He played this weekend against the Hawks.IS Chychrun even healthy and playing right now? correct me if i'm wrong, but the guy hasn't touched the ice in a game yet this preseason.
You do know that post was from October 5th -- and he wasn't playing at that time. His first game this season was Nov. 21st due to injury. He played this weekend against the Hawks.

Just trade w/ Chicago for McCabe. Less pieces going the other way.at this point with nothing official- wouldnt be surprised to see no trade for Chychrun at all, and wouldnt be shocked to see Kings make deal from left field no one saw coming.
Twitter is the cesspool of the internetDo I dare risk going on twitter to see the recent “rumors”
I would like your post but that privilege has been temporarily blocked do to my shit talking the Cryotes board… OopsTwitter is the cesspool of the internet
What do other teams have to give up?At this point I am resigned to the definite possibility that Chychrun may actually be LA bound, of course someone else may outbid us in the twilight while they work out the dollars. There's no doubt that he would upgrade the back line and while I am skittish of his stats and injury history if our brass is confident enough to truly make the deal because it is the right move and not something out of desperation then so be it as long as it doesn't include Byfield or Clarke. I'll be at the game tonight, was low key hoping it would be done early today if they shoe was gonna drop so I'd get a chance to see him in a Kings sweater if it is meant to be.
What do other teams have to give up?
Bos: Lysell
TO: Knies
EDM: Broberg
Buffalo, they have some good prospects, but who are they willing to move?
I'm not sure those guys are available for trade. Maybe Bos is desperate enough to go all in, but they are going to need all the centers they can get when theirs retire soon.
If those guys aren't available, who's the best player Chychrun is bringing back?
Complicating it for LA is Paterson regressing so now he’s a $5 mill buried goalie for 2 more years and thus no one taking over for an aging Quick. Plus their high picks in Turcotte and Byfield up front haven’t delivered or more so shown well enough yet in the nhl in their draft plus 3 and 4 season’s respectively.I really see it as those teams are far more window-open than the Kings, more 'desperate', and will give up their top 3 assets to make it happen
Kings are not in their shoes yet AND Kings' top 3 assets are better
It makes sense that AZ is trying to leverage, but Blake needs to not bite
Yes - I agree that the Kings assets are better and that we should not make a desperation move. The big question you gotta ask yourself when you make any trade: is this guy a game changer? Is he going to influence the outcome of the important games and improve the team culture/identity? I think it's pretty clear we need a LHD and a goalie.I really see it as those teams are far more window-open than the Kings, more 'desperate', and will give up their top 3 assets to make it happen

probably two of or all three Pinelli, Turcotte & the 2023 1st round pick. Then maybe others -- Grans makes sense for AZ. Crom and Laf are potentials too.I know the names have been out there, So after all this speculating ….who have we narrowed it down to that’s most likely in the proposed trade for Chychrun?
Long time kings fans, what’s your gut feeling here?
Do we agree the hiccup is takin Cals contract?
I wanna say Walker, protected '23 1st, Turcotte, and maybe one other piece, let's say Grans. That's as high as I go. As much as the Kings might like to get rid of Cal's contract, it makes everything way more complicated. Coyotes were looking for multiple high picks or equivalents, and I think this would satisfy that request. That's probably as good a package as any other team can assemble for him.I know the names have been out there, So after all this speculating ….who have we narrowed it down to that’s most likely in the proposed trade for Chychrun?

agree 100% -- that's the best offer i'd do. If they prefer Durzi over Turc then that's fine (can switch a forward like Fagemo for Grans i guess too).I wanna say Walker, protected '23 1st, Turcotte, and maybe one other piece, let's say Grans. I think Chychrun is a good player, but I wouldn't move Byfield, Vilardi, Kaliyev, or Clarke in a package for him. The '23 1st seems like a requirement. Walker has to go the other way for salary and space constraints. Makes sense from the Kings side, but who knows what Armstrong is looking at from other teams.
I'm not actually all that excited about getting Chychrun myself, so maybe someone else who's more desperate will put together a better package.

indeed either Luc or BeckermanWhatever happens, it’s hard to claim the Kings have zero interest in Chycrun at this point. Based on what has transpired over the past couple of days, feels like the Cryotes camp is trying to pump up the market.
It’s out of character for Blake to be willing to give up a major piece. And the team is competitive, but not a realistic cup contender. My speculative take is Luc wants to make a big splash and is willing to ship Clarke for Chycrun. Blake says OK, but only if the Phoenix goalie comes back for Cal. And he counts on Luc being unaware that Cal refuses to play in Arizona.
Blake looks like he’s playing 4D chess, but unfortunately, it’s probably versus his boss and is really 3D checkers.
