Ok…? Where are your facts? Where’s your sources?
since dec 8th 909

Vezina quality

Im fairly certain that's replacement level?

So, to yet again stress, I am not excusing the team in front of him. I'm questioning why we are , again, thinking he's not included in their criticism. Since December the team has been shit, and despite any horseshit narratives, our goaltender has been shit too

The problem right now with this team, is the lack of intensity, and effort by Mark Scheifele. This is where it starts, and likely will not change. He played good at the beginning of the year, but after that, really no effort. He's supposed to be a leader on this team, so if this is his attitude, why not trade the guy, for someone who will.

The radio post game show was saying he hasn't scored in 8 games now, and in 3 of those 8 games, no shots on goal. Completely disinterested, and heartless effort from their # 1 center, who has the talent, but won't put in the effort.

If I owned the Jets, and I believe Chipman meddles and injects himself into player personnel etc, I would ( along with Chevy) start talking about trading Mark, because his attitude will likely not change. We could get somebody really good for him, that will put out an effort. Too bad, coz he could be great, if he had any passion or intensity to win.

Pretty obvious that management is just squeezing the last of the juice out of this core. As long as they can keep making the playoffs that is all that matters to them.

If it wasn't clear before, it certainly is now. 55 and 26 are the problems of this org and if Chevy cannot see that, or do something about it, he needs to go as well. I understand what he tried to do last offseason, and I respect it and he did good work in short order. But at this juncture you have rooted out the issue and it isn't the coaches, it is quite clearly Wheeler and Shuffles. Their influences drags everything down and I don't care if they light it up for the remainder of the season, the team has to move on from them otherwise this is a rinse and repeat problem that will never actually go away.

Helle has been replacement level for a while since December, but and that is also one the least of our problems. Move along

Wheeler and Scheif are the teams biggest issues, total locker room cancer and dogs on the ice. I never would have guessed 5 years ago that I'd come to despite this pairing as much as I do now.

Funny when I see posts like this and I have no idea who you are quoting and what topic you are debating.

Fight the good fight Duke.
It was pointed out that Helly has not exactly been Vezina quality since early December. Helly's defenders took umbrage. Now you're up to speed.

18 missed shots for the Jets, and only 4 for the Kings. Add to that, they got manhandled in the faceoff circle, so this could be the difference.

The missed shots really sucks. Going up against LA, you’re going to be hard pressed to win the FO battle against guys like Kopitar and Denault[(spelling)loved that signing for them. It’s aged well.].

And to think, some of this board thought Winnipeg could sustain interests unlike Atlanta with average or bad teams. Bad teams rarely sell except in certain markets regardless of the sport. And it’s really unfortunate right now. Team has to have a direction to get people back interested.
Yup and if they plan on a rebuild it will be painful, but rebuilding a team doesn't have to mean bad hockey, yes they will lose much more then they win but as long as there is a vision on what this organization wants on the ice and they bring in the right players eventually people will come back

That's kind of the biggest thing I think. I don't know that True North has the fanbase's trust anymore.

And Cheveldayoff's press interactions have always come across to me like he's treating the fanbase like you would a toddler. I know we joke about how he can spin a 15 minute interview into saying literally nothing of substance with deflections or whatever but at some point I think the fanbase deserves some honesty and openness.
