Agree with @bustamente that San Jose is a crucial game

Bowness seems totally clueless. Even if LA hadn't scored the empty net goal, why was Wheeler the player chosen to be the extra man? There is something very off here as it doesn't make sense.
It is truly baffling to now be on the third coach who trots Wheeler out at the end of the game and in OT... at the end of the season, we'll hear this rah rah speech about how tough Wheeler is and played through an injury all season blah blah

I'm starting to think next year is a tank year, this core isn't going to go anywhere. Deal Scheifele and get whatever you can for him, PLD isn't going to want to stay, Wheeler is untradeable. Do whatever you can to keep Hellebuyck, and hope that Perfetti, Lucius and McGroarty can carry the torch at C the year after, hopefully with Ehlers and Connor still around.

Helle still at .918 with this sad sack team in front of him... pay the guy $12 million

People whine about Fanatics is NHL new jersey supplier. Jet fans dont need to worry, no chance in hell Fanatics make shirts for a team that care less about hockey then them..

The result is not at all surprising given the Jets play and results the past 2.5 months. Jets are, at best, a bubble team. The Kings, at worst, are a solid playoff team...and more likely a darkhorse Stanley Cup Finals contender and they will almost certainly be a better team next year.

Not surprising that Calgary won either. They were playing San Jose. That will be a must win for Winnipeg next week to keep some separation.

This core is done. I kind of hope they miss the playoffs at this point so Chevy is forced to rebuild or Chipman gets the wake-up call that Chevy needs to go.

They should be playing as if their careers depend on it and they don't give a shit.

Kind of an expected loss for me, I feel like LA is basically the anti-Jets. All effort, hard forechecking, and consistently engaging physically which all result in winning most races to the puck and battles.
Sometimes you have to tip your hat and admit they are a better hockey, now the Sharks are not a better team and the Jets have incentive to pay them back for the loss on home ice

Play Wheeler on 3rd line or buy him out ( he is untradable)

On a normal team sure. They'd play him properly. This team? No, he needs to be off the team somehow before next season. He's a line killer. Whether it is 5 vs 5, the PP, or an empty net situation.

People crap on Scheifele and Connor for their more recent play, and I agree mostly on that, but it's made even worse with one of their inemates single handedly killing plays time and time again. You may as well be on the pk. You can never get anything going.

Just home in time to watch the last 10 minutes. I didn't see much intensity from the Jets. With the score 1-3, I also saw a continuation of perhaps the current contender for worst PP in the league. I'd like to say that I couldn't believe Scheifele's half-hearted effort on that PP but I've come to expect it. Is he playing injured? Serious question? If not, the man has got to go by next season.
