Does he think that makes himself good when he basically says "No one wants to play here because I'm the GM, who no one trusts because I have no experience or track record of success."

He said that the team needs to be better so that players want to be traded here. So, I do not believe he thinks it makes himself look good that players are blocking trades. He was just talking about the various realities he is dealing with when it comes to making the kinds of trades that he wants to make and what kinds of deals other GMs want to make, or in this case can make.

The team is without a doubt weaker at the most important position on the ice, while adding a player that can't maximize his talents on the Sabres D-corps.

If there aren't major follow-up moves to make this make sense, this franchise will finally be exposed as unserious to any that still were holding out (I'm one of them).

Power and Dahlin's partner are wide open for Byram to take over.

KA has offseason plans for additions.

3 Fs (Cozens, Krebs, and Quinn), 1 D (Byram), and 1 G (Levi). They just need one more of the D for a starting lineup off that roster.

Too bad they didn't land Drysdale.

There is a WHL RHD on that roster that would look great on the Sabres. But, you know he's untouchable...

If they don't buy out Skinner, I honestly have a hard time finding a spot for JJP that doesn't sink us for next season. He's redundant, and will only be more so when the other kinds start coming up. I hope we can flip him or Kulich for a very good 4C with term and low AAV.

Your anti Peterka is such a weird take. How is he redundant, especially on a team struggling to score? For a 4C is an even dumber take. a 4C is worth like a 3rd round pick tops, that is what JJ is worth to you? I keep trying to process your reasoning and all I can come up with is your keyboard is broken and the 3 wont work.
