Saying its either Hakans drafting or Kronwalls development for all these guys kinda implies its a Sweden thing no?

Umm. I also mentioned the North American developmental staff Horcoff and Cleary as helping guide the players who are in North America (Griffins, juniors and college) although perhaps I should have mentioned the coaching staffs at the Griffins and the Walleye as well for helping our European players acclimatize to the smaller ice and NA physical play.

Also our NA scouts deserve praise as well for finding promising prospects like Emmit Finnie in the 7th round and being given a contract by Detroit less than a year after being drafted because of his promising play.

I've seen one other post from you in this thread and it was just an article copy and pasted that I didn't respond to. So unless youre Henkkas burner account, I was talking about Henkkas reason for starting this thread.

I actually have no clue why you quoted me now, are you actually Henkkas burner????

I am a big fan of Hakan's work just like Stevie Yzerman and Kris Draper so I posted those articles. I also like the work of our developmental staff particularly in Sweden. I don't think there are many NHL teams that communicate with our prospects so often like Kronwsll does. I do agree with you though that our European prospects benefit from their stay in the AHL.

Hakan would have had another absolute late round steal in Alex Edler had he not made an ill-advised phone call that led to the rest of the NHL learning about this unknown kid in the Swedish 4th tier league.

Gotta adjust that. Nick was scouted by Christer Rockstrom. Christer Rockstrom essentially scouted Hakan and referred him to the Wings when he left to join the Rangers. So probably swap Nick and Homer's pictures.

Looking up Swedish Wings. Burgers just passed Alfie on the Mafia ladder.

Ed passed Borje Salming and his next point ties him with Gustav Lindstrom.

Ray should pass Nyquist next season and Franzen the season after that.

Soderblom is 1pt behind Gustafsson, they'll trade the rest of the season.

Albert is 2pts behind Hagg.

I personally tend to think a lot of these guys would have succeeded regardless of where they were developed, but it is interesting.

We also are seeing some of our NA players developing well now too. Cossa, Augustine, Plante, Mazur, Danielson, etec.
I’m not sure why Mazur is on here. How is his current development exciting? His biggest negative, plays an aggressive style of play with an undersized frame and is injury prone, has reared its ugly head. Danielson has been fine, nothing remarkable. Cossa and Augustine have been great.

I truly hope you're not saying that because of a fluke injury that had literally nothing to do with how he plays or his frame.
