Leonard seems to be a bit on the rise of late so would SJ possibly take him 4th maybe?

He seems to have amazing balance and flexibility for a guy who is apparently very muscular and strong. I am intrigued in a hockey way.

CBJ takes Smith @3 and SJ takes Leonard @4 leaving Carlsson to the Habs @5. Not very likely to happen but I would be f'ing ecstatic if it somehow did.

I can see why Leonard has risen, I checked a little bit of tape earlier on, the progression is noticeable.
Passing on a potentially generational talent because they are a scary Russian for an American late riser because he has character and might be able to fight the Tkchuk brothers would be definitive proof this organization will never change.
All the more reason to trade Slafbusky for PLD as this fan base will never handle not fighting for that 8th seed.

Also nobody from the hab org have seen this guy play in person over the last 2 as per Hughes. I don’t recall a similar situation ever.

Gut is saying Leonard is the pick at 5. I think Smith is gone before we pick and don't think Michkov will be much of an option unfortunately.
Leonard seems like a guy you win playoff games with and looks like one hell of prospect. I wouldnt take a hot bath with a toaster if he was the pick, but it would still be a tough pill to swallow missing out on Smith and Michkov.
With that said if Leonard can be a Tkachuk for us, then that would be a very good building block.

Pretty sure it’s the same across the league. Everyone is going by video and word of mouth, it’s not straightforward. Risk-reward for sure.
Matthew Tkchuk isn't 5'11" with stats inflated by playing with a top 5 talent in the draft. Leonard is a valid prospect but if you are picking him because you need grit in the playoffs when this team is closer to the worst team in the league then a playoff contender, well I better hope they are swinging for the fences in free agency.

Had my brother visit last week and we bought 20lbs of lobster. I've had 4 lovely meals of lobster so far this season and still time for 2 or 3 more yet.
Had pan fried scallops tonight.
