In what world will Handle ever see more pp icetime than Provorov. This just screams warm body for the press box, especially considering his previous usage under AV's rags. He's pretty much just coming in for the nachos duty.

Serious question: if York doesn’t play in the NHL this season, how can we be certain he is capable for the next season? Just like Frost. It’s possible we will need another stopgap.

oh dont you worry, theres a never ending supply of other teams old dogs being put out to pasture we can scrap the bottom of barrel for..

have no fears...

How many times in the past couple years have the Flyers relied on a young player and then that young player doesn’t perform?

I don’t mind the Yandle signing.

He looked utterly shot last year. In what world, at age 35, would any sane GM expect him to be better?

He actually statistically improved last season compared to the years prior. But Florida was a much better team and his usage went down. It’s still hard to make sense of in terms of on-ice need/fit/Fletcher cliches.

I also imagine there is some veteran locker room presence factor with this acquisition if it hasn't already been pointed out.

It's how we got here, Ghost is better than Yandle yet Fletcher paid a kings ransom to send him away, then filled Buffalo full of assets for one of the worst defenders in the league. The Flyers are a joke, a dumpster fire.

Well, we're probably a better team right now.

Listen I don't like how Fletch has done all of this, but I think it's been positive so far. He's probably got 2 more moves he needs to make (backup G and 3C) and then we can probably make final judgment.

Only God can make a final judgement and Fletch better start praying for his sins.

Chuck has no idea what he’s really doing, does he

You'd think he would have learned from the Gus signing.

What we know for sure is our Pro Scouts f***ing blow. Wonder how many are still leftover from Homer or got their jobs out of nepotism.

At the price he signed for it’s a no brainer. No one is getting blocked, the simple fact is if a rookie is good enough he plays his way in, injuries happen and the worst thing coaches do is rush young defenceman before they are ready. If he isn’t he plays huge minutes in the AHL which benefits him in the long run. Been a fan of this team since the 80s and haven’t seen anyone blocked in years.

Everyone is saying Jets got better with Schmidt and Dillon. No ones raving that Samberg and Heinola got blocked. The fact is the Jetsdid get better with the moves.
