I suspect they'll pick up a RHD prospect in the Provorov trade.
Or maybe for Laughton.
Hayes won't garner more than a 3rd or so and that's with money retained. Unfortunately, his scoring fell off the second half, even after moving back to center.

The point of a long-term rebuild is you can go BPA b/c you don't have to fill holes, if they need a RHD, they'll sign a veteran to a short-term deal.

Torts already said he would like to see them maybe draft a defenseman. At 7th OA let’s go for it.

So let it be written. So let it be done.
"I'm sent here by the chosen one"

Oops got off track

If they really want/have to/stupid enough to listen to him in terms of drafting..than trade back..get more assets and don't waste 7OA on a reach

Everything you say is well thought out and extremely logical, which is what scares me. When was the last time Flyers and logic were in the same sentence? The fact that everyone of the front office people were amazed that the fans are pissed off about the hires, reeks of something extrelely illogical

I love that the 1st thing Torts says is berating Flyers fans and telling us why we're wrong for wanting outsiders rather than Flyers alumni.
just goes to show hes part of the problem... like EVERY other hire.

there really is no fixing thus Org. until its sold wholesale..

the rot extends to its inner most core... the very "foundation" if you will.

sell it or better yet fold it and let someone else build a hockey team in Philly...

What is with this ridiculous defense of management? Easily the past 10-12 years has been a complete disaster. The Flyers are a team with money unlike half the league.
he wants a Flyers office job down the road to.. so he be slurpin

1 Stanley Cup
2 Jack Adams

yeah.....WTF does Torts know ?
sweet...

now we just need the league to roll back 20 yrs so Torts ideas are relevant again..

Yeah.... I can't see who you're responding to, so I'm gonna call bullshit.

Torts was defending Briere and Jones, not the organization.

Things have changed, I mean I have never heard them talk about rebuilding and the need for patience b/c it's going to take years.
Even when Hextall was given permission to "rebuild," they never called it a rebuild and insisted they would remain competitive.
And of course, Holmgren was adamant about not rebuilding when they hired Fletcher, and Barber convinced Scott they could "aggressively reload."

That's far more important than people want to admit, b/c even if you botch the first shot at a rebuild, you still accumulate a lot of resources, it took extreme incompetence by Buffalo to avoid building a good team.

Le sigh. You don’t need to defend every single thing that this franchise does.

You don’t actually hold this stance on this matter. It’s ok to admit that there have been errors made in this process.

You dont need to respond to him either lol.
