Wonder what impact this has on his upcoming contract negotiations
You're absolutely right man, just like Stamkos last year... oh wait...foolish by Miller. this really hurts with our already tough cap situation trying to get kane. this is a major black mark on his career.
Can we clarify this statement: during hockeyYou have to control your spit. Fine with 3.

The giveaway that lead to their 1st goal was tire fire in a dumpster fire badhe's not playing well lately but it's fine. development isn't linear. he's trying new things and they don't always work.
I reaaaaaallllyyyyy wish he would just skate the puck out almost every time. Deferring to Trouba gets that pair in trouble a lot, and most of the time it's really just deferring to him, not for any good reason.
I agree. He is not yet solid defensively but his biggest asset is his skating and offensive ability- second to only fox on the team. He should be doing it way more often! And be more careful with the last second pinches leading to odd man rushes. It’s hard to get those two right so i am hoping he does soon.he's not playing well lately but it's fine. development isn't linear. he's trying new things and they don't always work.

He had a bad game and is in a funk since the suspension. I still like the player and think he's going to have a great playoffs this year. He just needs to put it behind him and move forward.
He's young but surrounded by a good group. He'll be fine.
I agree. He had a lot of jump to his game (as did most of the team) and was looking to drive the play. It was, IMO, his best game since he's been back. As for the bad play, he has teammates that make a lot more mistakes than he did. My only concern with him is his pinching. He has to make better reads.Bad game?
He made a bad play lol. The rest of his game was mostly fine if not good.
Watch him- he pinches at the wrong times, and constantly is going to the wrong guy on defense, leaving his man wide open for a scoring chance.
you know who does pinch the wrong time a lot, for these exact reasons? Schneider who for a lot here can do no wrong. This is a trash take and one of my biggest peeves when it comes to people trying to analyze his play because it just displays a lack of fundamental understanding of this sport and the position as a whole.
90% of the time when he pinches, even when the puck gets by him, HE HAS COVERAGE BEHIND HIM. This is how its supposed to work and trust me, he's WAY more successful at pinching successfully than he isn't. The last thing you want to do is coach that aggressiveness out of his game and you're going to have to live with the occasional puck slipping by him because the net return is going to be overwhelmingly positive.
There are times where he makes flat out BAD pinches that are low percentage AND just poor decisions (see: last minute of the Penguins game from Sunday, THAT one was bad) but they're the exception rather than the rule.
Also his issues in his own end aren't going to the wrong guy, sometimes he's a bit too late in picking up the right guy.
The poorly timed pinches have been plaguing him all season.I agree. He had a lot of jump to his game (as did most of the team) and was looking to drive the play.
