that was some pretty dangerous shit IMO. Slewfoots are so dirty. one day someone will really suffer a severe head injury or another torn up knee like Blais.
Subban debating whether Oshie’s hit on Lindgren was dirty or not while knowing what he did to Blais and probably cost him money drove me nuts.

Also the outcry on the boards is insane. Anything short of a public crucifiction for a kid that causes absolutely zero issues is crazy. Like if all our players he and Kakko are the two that would surprise me for causing any sort of trouble.

Its crazy how quickly some of the fans on these boards turned on him.

Back in the day, when KAM was a rookie he scored either his first goal or assist/point, I don't know and TDA retrieved the puck and wouldn't give it to him because he liked to mess hard with certain guys on the team, amongst them was KAM and Georgiev. Trouba put him in his place for this particular incident that only came out when TDA got into a fight with Georgiev later on amongst other rumors. This was never confirmed by players but that is what was going around the beat reporters.
Obv I know what you probably were referring to re what it had to do with them. But it hadn't. That was a lie propagated by some blogger(s).

These are the same people for whom "Tom Wilson problem" became a running joke.

Head injuries are hilarious but spitting is the end of the world.

You're obviously right with this.

Wonder only if you were so sensible if certain things were reversed, lets put it like that.

It's not like it hasn't happened before.

Subban spit on Del Zotto years ago and Stamkos allegedly spit on Lafreniere in the playoffs.

It's a big deal because a Ranger did it.

You probably still have the Suarez PTSD (and I agree it's perfectly right in his case as well)
Biting is different. That can and does hurt.

But sure, it sucks that they react so quickly to that, meanwhile Jordan Pickford performs surgery on Virgil van Dijk and they check to see if the play was offside.

Yep. And subsequently he left/was removed from Blueshirt Banter. Now he writes for Bleacher Report, I think. I forgot they cover hockey to be honest.

Yup. Debunked by the organization in a press conference. I mean JD actually had to address it in the same press briefing to announce TDA was waived or going to be waived. JD never referenced Banter by name or the author but said it was sad that he even had to address it. Herman went off the Twitter grid for months. Wyshynski also debunked the story but Herman doubled down on it's accuracy and his "source". Then went into hiding citing mental health.

The susp for a gazillion of games for biting vs leg breakers tho. I know.
The one when he bit Ivanovich was a clear foul by the latter too - a peno and a red card IMO. His biceps twice as thick as Su-Su's neck which he'd been choke-holding inside the area.
The kid DID have problems with that AFAIR, documented back at least to Holland.
Still break someones leg after an absolute SHITSHOW from the ref? That's Ok all around. No outrage.

I said it to Gardner McKay the other day, not sure how you guys deal with the main forum. It’s just toxic. Feel safer in the Rangers sub forums where it’s all warm and cozy…..well sometimes lol.

I won’t tolerate the blatant hypocrisy of other fans and the media for even a minute. Every team in this league has or has had players that have crossed the line, and depending upon who it is, and if they fit the marketing campaign this horse$hit league is trotting out at the time, they’ll either be called out, or simply ignored.

Last Saturday’s game was just the ultimate troll job on the NYR and a perfect example of how dysfunctional this sport has become. P.K Subban’s insights regarding fair play and injuries are as about a useful as Ted Bundy’s confessions the night before his execution.

I believe K’Andre has a sort of “spitting tick”, however what he did was wrong, and he has to answer for it. He’s allowed to make a mistake. As a first-time offender, one game should be sufficient… but I’m sure they’ll make an example of the NYR.

Where was this “righteous anger” from the Pens fans when ‘Cookie” was mauling other players en route to their Cups? NJ fans with Slewban and years of Scott Stevens? The Isles didn’t sign Martin and Clutterbum to score… Where were the champions of the NHL’s integrity when Stamkos (team captain) spit in the fact of a NYR during the ECF? How did the hockey world “miss” this?

Bullshit. Racist ass DOps
It's literally the precedent that's been handed down before for spitting, you mushroom.

3 games, had a feeling, Seems fair. Same as Hathaway.

Anything less than 3 would have been a gift from DoPS. Situations like this, with a clear precedent, are a gimme for DoPS. You stick to the precedent and you move on. I doubt they even spent much time thinking about it.

foolish by Miller. this really hurts with our already tough cap situation trying to get kane. this is a major black mark on his career.

Yeah, I’m fine with this. It sucks we will lose him for 3 games with Lindy being questionable but there has to be some accountability, imo.

It sucks and I'll give Miller the benefit of the doubt that it was an accident but it's still incredibly dumb. Dumb things can still be suspendable, you have to take responsibility for your actions.
