Glad he apologized and barring a 1-3 game suspension we can all move on.

Having said that... K'Andre is 6'5" and 210 pounds. If he has a problem with Doughty yapping, he can drop the gloves for once or nail him on the next play.

Not looking for "moar tuffness" just for the sake of it... but Miller, Harpur, Mikkola can add a little more edge to their game and opposing forwards would have to adjust accordingly. It would limit creativity for opposing forwards, and create more space on the ice for our team.

Mikkola is definitely very physical........weird to lump him in there.

Good to see. The kid made a mistake and will be punished for it but hopefully now we can just move past it.

Him apologizing should maybe help people defer from thinking the absolute worst happened in a situation. I doesnt help as much as your heart in the right place.

Part of me hopes he does get some games, only because I don't feel like hearing other fan bases complain about it. That main thread has been brutal. lol.

Also, with Lindgren likely getting back in sooner than later, and Mikkola playing well ,it's fine if Miller sits some games.

Two weeks ago, if somebody said that K'Andre is going to receive a match penalty for hacking a loogie on Drew Doughty, and Carpenter is going to serve it but not actually take a shift along with Schneider for Cap Circumvention purposes, I would have looked at the person like they were batshit crazy!
This sure as been a wacky few weeks.

I also dont think HFNYR fantasy league would approve either the Meier or Jeannot trades, haha

Tbh of the guys on the team, Millers one of the ones least likely to do something like that on purpose imo. I’d far more expect it from a Trockeck, a Trouba, an Igor, etc., one of those guys who gets feisty and fiery during games

Yo, I just had a banger idea for playoff avatars.

Panel 1 - "part of one of the worst trades in NHL history"

Panel 2 - 0 games (over a picture of Tom Wilson in the penalty box)

Panel 3 - "eats tofu"

Panel 4 - 3 games (over a picture of K'Andre Miller)

Panel 5 - #93 Mika Zibanejad

Panel 6 - 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Basically, something meaningful about the player is 0 games and something dumb and innocuous is 3 games. You could do a lot with that theme.

Here's what I want:

Panel 1: A picture of Sammy Blais with "0 goals"

Panel 2: A picture of Jake Leschyshyn with "0 points"

Panel 3: A picture of Vitaly Kravtsov with "0 return"

Panel 4: A picture of Schneider on the bench with "0 shifts"

Panel 5: A picture of the Rangers 2022 Stanley Cup logo with "0 doubt"

Panel 5: 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs

I can't even find it. My best guess is that the thread was started by a Kings fan that I put on ignore at some point in the past for being an obnoxious douchenozzle.

I literally don’t care that he did it, don’t feel the need to defend him nor does it change how I feel about him. Just hope it’s not too many games and he comes back out of his funk

Same. I was banging the table for the Rangers to trade for the last guy suspended for spitting like 3 days ago lol. Personally, I feel like a lot of people are using this incident to prove pre-conceived notions they had about Miller. I was more mad that he made us play with 4 D for 2 periods than anything that happened to Doughty.

What he did was terrible. And he deserves to be suspended for it. That said, it doesn't change the way I view him as a player or as a person.

I do think it's odd how fans on social media are jumping in to defend him first saying he didn't spit, then saying he didn't mean to, and subsequently trying to advocate against a suspension. If he gets suspended for 3 games, , it's in line with other spitting incidents. That seems fair.

You can criticise Miller for what he did, while at the same time still supporting him as a player. It's odd how this seems such a foreign concept these days.

I almost don't give a shit
Spitting on someone sure as shit isn't going to do any actual harm to them compared to all the insane bullshit that players get up to that actual cause real detrimental physical damage. him getting in trouble for it is fine, whatever, it's fine to say "don't do that" but big f***ing lol at it being "terrible"

it was stupid as hell but it didn't do a good goddamn thign at all to doughty in the f***ing slightest and pearl clutching about it is also dumb as hell when he's already getting punished for it.

what a weird f***ed up view of professional sports we have when we can cheer for a player braining the f*** out of another guy and punching someone in the face over and over with their bare knuckles as hard as they're able but spit is "terrible"

e: I mean it should be against the rules, he should get in trouble, but he should be punished by the league for breaking the rules and then it moves on. big deal
