I can see both arguments. Certainly not a bad option to keep them on separate pairs.Fox or Miller on the ice at all times for the Rangers the next 10 years. That's how you contend for a decade

I also saw him play that year, I caught Wisco playing at BC that year. Sat in some real nice seats, and luckily it was in his defensive end on his side, right on the blue line. He was very raw but you could tell it was all there. His work ethic and attitude has been fantastic too.Kid has become what I was hoping he would when I saw him as a gangly freshman at my alma mater (his first year playing defense).
The fact that he's doing it as a Ranger warms my heart. I was nervous when they drafted him because I wanted so badly for him to realize his potential and would've been devastated if he bombed.
No need to worry about that. The sky is the limit.
Yes. I think he'll be in that to 10-15 group who always have a shot at a Norris.Do we see a Norris in his future?
Do we see a Norris in his future?
Honestly, I don't. It's hard to win them. Hank only won one Vezina. I wouldn't even be shocked if Fox only wins the one Norris.Do we see a Norris in his future?
There's no reason he can't be on the PP with Fox. He has a booming shot for the right dot/wallThe only way I see him even having a chance is if Fox is out due to injury for an entire season. Even then we'll probably see Gallant lean on Trouba strictly due to experience
Hedman didnt start putting up serious Norris level points until year 5.... Key has time to get those minutesThere's no reason he can't be on the PP with Fox. He has a booming shot for the right dot/wall
no teams use 2 d-men on the PP. Besides Zib has a better shot from that position than anyone in hockey outside of like 2 or 3 guysThere's no reason he can't be on the PP with Fox. He has a booming shot for the right dot/wall
Most teams don't, but it has happened.no teams use 2 d-men on the PP. Besides Zib has a better shot from that position than anyone in hockey outside of like 2 or 3 guys

Position doesn't matter. If he's the best skill/talent to be utilized, he's the best choice.no teams use 2 d-men on the PP. Besides Zib has a better shot from that position than anyone in hockey outside of like 2 or 3 guys
well I also don't think he has the skillset. I see him as a parayko type, but better skatingPosition doesn't matter. If he's the best skill/talent to be utilized, he's the best choice.
Having a major threat on the opposite side of the ice opens it up for Zibs even more. Having multiple angles of attack is not a bad thing.
Yeah that's exactly right. There's really no scenario where Miller should be on the top PP unit or more than mop up duty on the 2nd PP unit. Which is fine, he doesn't need to be forced onto the PP just to fulfill some sort of Norris trophy fantasy.well I also don't think he has the skillset. I see him as a parayko type, but better skating
He has much more offensive talent than Paraykowell I also don't think he has the skillset. I see him as a parayko type, but better skating
Ducks had Niedermayer and Pronger. Were Burns and Karlsson with the Sharks together?Has a team ever had two Norris Trophy-winning players on the same roster? And playing together as a pair?
He won the coveted "most players concussed" award.Ducks had Niedermayer and Pronger.
I would have also guessed Devils while Niedermayer was there, but surprisingly Stevens never won the Norris.
I don't see it. Hedman just scored 85 points, even Fox hasn't done thatHe has much more offensive talent than Parayko
He has Parayko defensive capabilities along with Hedman type of offensive potential.. a rare breed.
Trouba has no shot at the Norris, so this is the one he's chasing. He won the coveted "most players concussed" award.
Laperriere and Robinson on the 70s Habs but idk if they were on the same pairHas a team ever had two Norris Trophy-winning players on the same roster? And playing together as a pair?
The only chance he has of winning that is if the voters are all penguin fans.Trouba has no shot at the Norris, so this is the one he's chasing.
