Its tough to say. I mean. There was a lot of players who been good for team canada and didnt made it in the NHL. The floor of Guhle is a bottom 6 defender. Is he a futur parayko. I didnt see it during this tournament yet, but he is still young

You have to keep in mind that Colton Parayko didn't look like a future Colton Parayko at 18 years old either...This is mostly a 19 year old's tournament. Anything at 18 is just gravy.

He could be nhl ready in 2 years. His game will translate well in the big show!

His game screams NHL translation, he’s big, he skates tremendously well and he’s very good positionally for an 18 year old. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the NHL by 20 or 21. We do have a lot of depth though, so we can afford to be patient which is nice.

They aren't playing either right now and if the dub ceases, BCHL will follow suit. Can he be put on the taxi squad? Unless rules change, Laval is out of the question.

It seems to me that CHL players can sign try-out contracts in the AHL when their CHL teams are out of the playoffs. Curious if some type of special arrangement is made so high level prospects can get some ice and development time

BC seems like the most strict Province - can't see BCHL operating if WHL is canceled.

BCHL had exhibition games in October/November and were supposed to start December 1st. Of course this has been delayed, but they were way closer than the WHL to a seasion start. Fairbrother even played exhibition games with a BCHL team.

yeah once he faces better teams we'll get a better idea. The little i've seen though I like. Especially at 18. A lot of us want that Markov/Subban type D but that doesn't mean Guhle can't be a helluva D man. Hope he can develop his offensive game. There's sold if not limited tools there.
He will be what we hoped Tinordi could be, a decade ago.

It's odd how he doesn't really look comfortable with the puck on his stick, but ends up always finishing his plays none-the-less. He looks like someone who's still not used to be 6'3, if that makes sense.

yeah he's kind of KK at 18 like. hopefully he plays with more confidence as he fills out.

I really like his skillset.. i watched few games of him. At 18 year old, being good during this tournament Its something sick.. If we « arent lucky ». We have a chiarot/edmundson to become. If guhle improves big time, he can become a parayko. Im impatient to watch him against vs big teams soon

I see a Lefty Brent Seabrook type of player. I love the tools that he have and he’s becoming my favourite prospect of our prospect pool

My 3 favorite prospect D is Guhle, Romanov and Struble.

They all bright skill, grit, mobility, two-way in their game!

Struble stinks, and is injury prone. Couldn't crack this weak usa blueline.

Holy s*it.... WJC is a tournament, being good or bad in the tourney is but one data point to use against an entire body of work.

I’ve watched Struble plenty since his prep school days he’s a mean SOB who can flat out skate w good play anticipation (hockey IQ which is tough to teach).

I wouldn’t be so quick to judge, he’ll become an NHL regular IMO, but need 3-years of NCAA and maybe 1-year in AHL.

I know some have brought up Petry and Vlasic but have we talked about him being stylistically comparable to Brodin? Maybe a more physical version but style wise and maybe even realistic ceilimg they might be good comparable.

Skates well, excellent in own zone, outlet pass is good but not great, good at denying zone entries, will put up decent points.
