Listened to Pronman & Wheeler on The Athletic podcast while cycling back home tonight. Apparently, McQueen tweaked his back and has been dealing with this injury for a little while. Pronman said it isn't clear what the nature of the injury is. Something to keep in mind as the season goes along. If it's a hernia like Lindstrom, he's a DND in my opinion.

The conversation about McQueen is around 15:00-16:30 of the episode.

“I injured my back last year, and had like a bulging disc midway through the season and had to take some games off, and then I came back for playoffs,” McQueen said.

Frankly, TODAY, my pick is Schaefer. As much as I'd like a better C than Suzuki...I think Schaefer is just the BPA at this point....and if we now don't care if we go needs or needs...what do you need more...a true No1 great offensively and defensively, to protect yourself against Guhle/Reinbacher injuries? Or a true No1 C to make Suzuki a No2 C making it one of the best center line in the NHL.....Tough choice.

At this rate it's going to be a top 3 of the three OHL studs, with Hagens considered a tier below. While the #1 lottery won't be as meaningful as the past two drafts, it's a good year to finish in the bottom few.

Me too. I also think that Engstrom developing so nicely in Laval will make the habs brass more inclined to go C. If we pick first, go Misa as of rn. If we pick second and Misa goes first, then Id go Schaefer as I think he (and Misa) are a tier above Martone and Hagens. Still very early though

Im still high on Hagens personally, but I prefer Misa at that point, either ways I think we end up with a center...

Agree on Engstrom, he projects as a solid top 4 at that point.

McQueen reminds too much of Kirby Dach. I would stay away. I am sick of injuries
