Guhle reminds me of a younger Vlasic. Skates well, uses his body effectively and quickly moves the puck. I don't see a lot of offense in his game. He tends to want to hang back most of the time.

He's definitely more defensive than offensive. I see Guhle being a 20-40 ish pt guy at the NHL level much like Petry or Vlasic in his prime.

Guhle looks like he will be a solid piece of our blue line for years...maybe even a captain one day but if you reread the draft thread - I was pushing for Mercer and he is not disappointing. Neither is my Newhook pick from last year. ;)

I only got to see the first period so I can't say much. He looked steady. I want to see him against a stronger team with a tough forecheck and see how he responds. Like that he's doing well so far as an 18 year old.

2 good games in the u20 isnt a reason to draft a prospect esp when those two were played vs sub par teams

As I said earlier in the thread I really, really like this kids', overall game - poise, mobility, physicality, good puck movement, and above all else - tough to play against (see:Weber, Shea). I have no doubt his bias towards defense-first in this tournament is simply him fulfilling the wishes of TC coaching staff. I wanted Reichel at the draft but I have no issue with Guhle whatsoever.

Newhook and Mercer were my top guys available for each of our last two picks as well. Caufield and Guhle should be players as well though.

I think he has limited offensive awarenesses, but he is rock solid at defending, the way he separates his opponents from the puck is probably already NHL level...

The Ghoul (Guhle) squad coming to an arena near you, soon...

Defensively, he us a futur nhl player. He has quick feet gor a big guy. He gave good hit too for separate the men of the puck. His offensive skill/production will show what kind of player he is. A future phillippe myers 4thd or a parayko. We will see

Guhle is a way better skater than Philippe Myers. As well, Kaden has better natural instincts.

I hope he's better than McNabb in Vegas.

It often takes time for players like Guhle to develop the offensive side of their game, but he has the physical and mental tools to do so.

There’s little doubt in my mind he’ll be a Top-4 defenseman, just a matter of whether or not he’ll develop his offensive game to become a two-way threat.
