If Gallant doesn't talk to his players, Gallant doesn't know they're injured. :sarcasm:

So many fans have been on him (still are right now), however maybe this season's chronic shoulder injury has in fact, effected his play to the point where it contributed to Kakko's minimal point production. Could have even kept his confidence low. However long, 6-8 weeks, 10, 12 weeks, whatever. As long as he comes back 100%.

i was just joking about the leg/arm transplant

The Rangers have the #4 PP in the league.
The Rangers have the #2 PP in the league since January 1.
The Rangers have the #1 PP in the league over the last month.

Maybe we should stop trying to change the unit?

I mean some people also wanted Kakko, Laf, and Kravtsov over Kreider in the Top 6 when the season started. CK is now having a career season. This is the HF boards way. lol

Yeah, but nobody, not even Kreider, expected this kind of production.

His 5v5 production is the same as usual. In fact this is his 4th worst 5v5 pts/60 of his career (and most goals). His career season is a function of shooting 40% on the PP. A rate nobody has sustained for multiple years. Including guys who stand in front of the net and tip shots and only get high percentage chances.

Yeah I know and it’s been great. I just feel
Other than Kakko, nobody has really deserved a Top 6 spot to start this season. Kravtsov didn’t even make the team and decided not to report to Hartford, and Laf has not had a good season but has looked better as of late.

When healthy which could be awhile do they go with...

Kreider - Mika - Laf
Panarin - Strome - Kakko

Not at even strength he isn't. Kreider is a specialist; he scores. It's awesome that he does that. The rest of his game is meh.

We here often joke about McKegg having a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. For example, "That McKegg, what a useless piece of toast missing a wide open net. He's got a leg for an arm."
Yes, I remember now. Thank u for clarifying.

As in he can’t hang in the NHL and has to go play in Europe?

Give me a break, enough with the hyperbole. I’d bet my life savings Kakko is an NHLer for a long time. He’s only 20 and even tho the stats aren’t there he’s already a solid middle 6 winger who plays a good 200 ft game. He’s struggled to put up numbers commiserate with his draft status but he’s nowhere near being relegated to playing in Europe. Like not even in the same stratosphere of that happening.
It's not as aggressive play and how,do you know he likes it here ?? Kovalchuk NJ Devils left nhl to play in Russia....I just feel it's a possibility.

I think he's been nursing something since the end of the last season when he went hard into the boards, and his season ended. Those are the injuries that can knock the system out of order. He had something that got aggravated in the game against the Habs at the start of the season, then he pushed himself back too soon. Recall the presser where he was adamant he was "ready", but at the time Gallant was a little doubtful. Hope they sort it out once and for all now and don't let him come back until he is 100%, even if I'm sure he wants to play because it's an important contract year for him and he wants to prove himself.
He might go play in europe
