Absolute horse shit, he looked fantastic at the end of games 1 & 2.
I'm talking every shift. He starts each shift well, even in the 3rd. Next game focus on Kakko. He hunches over at the end of every shift and looks pained. I don't see that from anyone else. I might be the biggest Kakko fan here, so this isn't bias. I'm sure he will continue to work on that as his career progresses. But i'd be lying if I didn't say that was a concern. Love the improvements overall though.

Again, his final shifts in the third, games 1 & 2, he was flying and looked fine throughout those shifts. I like that he's going so hard, he's able to turn on the speed in different ways than we've seen the past few years. I've also seen Laf gassed at the end of his shifts too, it's just what happens, these kids are going hard. Especially early in a long season, he'll be just fine.

Here
Its all part of being a pro at the NHL level. He is still very young, but I've always loved his demeanor on the ice.

We all know he doesnt show much outward emotion, he is very focused, in the moment. Best word for him is "bullish". it doesn't seem like anyone on the other team or even his own team is going to change it.

Dumba literally cross checked him in the face after that goal. Youll find him back in the paint again, maybe even tonight doing the same thing. His approach is consistent and the real important thing is its in all zones.

You get a very consistent game from Kakko night in and night out. You seldom wonder about where he is, he doesn't make many glaring mistakes. That was why I really didnt get the benching last playoffs. He is a very consistent player.

I've laughed off a lot of fans who said hes a bust or they dont like his game. As his confidence and game grows he will be more and more noticeable and more and more positives will also remain consistent, I have no doubts about that.

Honestly what you are kind of saying is you don’t want him going all out for the whole shift. The fact that he recovers and goes hard the next shift shows he does in fact have stamina and recovers. If you give everything you have for the entire shift you’ll be hunched at the end of it. If you are in shape and have stamina you’ll quickly recover. And it’s not a bad thing to point out that there might be times to take the foot off the gas during the shift so at the end there isn’t that chance that your tank is too empty to make an important play.

I have no concerns about his stamina in the 3rd. He has endurance. It's within a shift. He's giving effort and that's great, but he was caught a couple times when Mika and Kreider got to change and he had to stay back and he couldn't move. Again, love his game. Just something he can improve on.

pulled a few hairs out of my head when Kakko didn't shoot that glorious chance right in the slot in the 3rd period but I really can't complain about it because he had the balls to even try that. Lafreniere too, they're shooting way more and look way more dynamic. just keep it up. i don't even really care about points rn.

yeah as long as they continue to present the high level skillset the points will come.

someone needs to just give kakko an ipad to look at that stuff simply so kreider can grab it out of his hands, smash it, and assure him that he is a good player that just needs to start trusting himself.

Right. well he will get stronger in the endurance Dept too but I think part of it is knowing when to go at 80% so you have some reserve for those cases. That will come with experience.
