Kakko is not even doing anything different. The difference is that his body caught up to what he wants to do, which is to lug the puck along the walls and corners. He is playing with his back to his defenders and they literally cannot reach around him
just needed to pack on some thiccness over the summer, slamming beers and pounding snizz

A lot of people will say “see what happens when you give them top six minutes?” I don’t think it’s that simple. Kakko and Laf are simply better this year. They are getting bigger and stronger and the game is slowing down for them.

They simply couldn't physically compete. Now they can. Thanks, Muscle Milk!

Kak has Celiac, I'm uncertain if he can drink muscle milk?

He just drinks the blood of his victims, it's what makes him stronger.
Muscle Milk does not contain gluten, so Kakko absolutely can drink it. (Muscle Milk isn't milk, shhhh)

I’m here for the Kaapo Kakko revenge tour. It’s early, but he looks so good right now. Everyone who defended him on here through tooth and nail is being vindicated. You don’t give up on talent.

Once he gets the puck on his stick it’s almost impossible to knock him off of it. He was making the Ducks defense miserable in the offensive zone, and he has an active stick in the Neutral zone.

He needs to shoot just a little more, but even that part of his game improved. He’s also not shying away from the more physical parts of the game.

Really hoping that by the mid point of the season his numbers can be close enough to Hughes (without real PP time and 5-7 less minutes per game) that we can start wondering if the Devils possibly made the wrong choice. It's fine though. They have another top 5 pick to look forward to.

As much as I’d love that, that’s not really realistic. Kakkos point production needs to be about 10-15 points lower than hughes and then it becomes “did we f*** up”, because Kakko is an elite defensive player, and he thrives on the boards where hughes gets destroyed and in the playoffs, games are won and lost.

I don't really care, tbh.

We picked 2nd and Hughes went 1st.

What Hughes does in his career bears no onus on the Rangers.
