I said it last season, when there was a Laf vs. Kaapo narrative. We want all of them to succeed for us!

Same goes for the Kravtsov and Kaapo narrative that creeped up.

Kravtsov has 20 NHL games. He'll need a lot more to find his balls on the NHL ice (and NYC).

We should never have a kid vs. kid narrative. We SHOULD have a kid vs washed up 4th line plug taking top 6 minutes narrative. Those are ok and unfortunately with GG will always be a problem.

He's played 20 NHL games.
He's played 10 NHL preseason games with one goal, zero primary assists, and two secondary assists.
He's quit the team and went back to Russia twice.
He hasn't been able to win a steady job, yet, under two coaches and two general managers.
He's never had extremely impressive numbers in any pro league unless you add in caveat after caveat.
He requested a trade and no teams around the league valued him enough to make a good enough offer for the Rangers to accept.

Maybe he should be gifted a top six role for a month to see if he can take it and run with it but you can not possibly think there isn't an issue here if he is incapable of winning the job on his own over a "4th line plug."

Do you seriously believe Jimmy Vesey is the reason they wouldn't give Kravtsov top six minutes? The player is irrelevant. It's Kravtsov who isn't getting them because of his play. Obviously someone else has to fill the role which could be Vesey, Lafreniere, Goodrow, Gauthier, Blais, Hunt etc. The point is moot regardless as it seems Kravtsov will be there game 1 but my expectations are not very high because from everything I've seen it's quite possible he's just not any good. I've never seen so many excuses for one guy.
