Yeah, players get rocked often, why should he go to the AHL because of that? What will it does?

Specifically on the hit tho, it is frustrating because Slaf is targeted (happens with the 1st overall status) but on the other hand, he have to protect himself better.

I remember Chara early in his career, because he was tall, he got rocked and rocked, incredibly rocked. Then he became himself a fuxking monster who rocked the league. Hopefully, i doubt it tho, Slaf develops a kinda nasty side and learn how to defebd himself properly. And as an organisation, how do we answer to that? We target Aho next game?

Hopefully he is not injured and takes contact better.

Anyone have a replay of when Slaf carried the pucks to the net in last games?

Cant find it
It doesn’t matter how mean he is if he makes suicide passes with his head down that end up in him getting hurt. I’m a little surprised he did that. His awareness has been pretty good this year. But it only takes doing this a couple of times for your career to be over.

I agree it was a newbie play on his part and he can't do this but let's not fall into a slippery slope too. Lindros was targeted and received vicious, ill intentioned hit because of his status. Different era now.

Loool our first overall gets absolutely obliterated and we are haters for saying he needs to keep his head up :laugh::laugh:.

Yeah attack the fans who haven't seen a impressive team in Montreal for two decades. I swear you'd think we were a succesful franchise with how people shill for the organisation and its players.

Saying the kid needs to keep his head up is not hating at all if anything its trying to protect and showing concern to the one chance we have of having a singular measly first liner in the organisation lmao

I don't think it was a newbie play...he was trying to make a play on the puck.

Noesen caught him...it's a physical sport, Slafkovsky has caught some guys, this time it was his turn.

Move on to the next play/game.

Dirty hit. Still think the league should look at it.
Agreed 100%

I mean, at some point player's have to look at themselves in the mirror. There was really no need to make that hit. He wasn't a threat, it's done purely for highlight reels. He wasn't trying to make a play on the puck or separate the player from the puck, he just saw another player with his head down and decided he wanted to knock him into next week. It's just cheap.

That's why I laugh every time people get upset when players don't get suspended long enough for dirty hits, because they don't respect each other on the ice, why would you think a discipline committee ran by ex-players would.

In the NFL, a sport just as physical if not more physical than the NHL...they outlawed hits to the head.

They don't care about intention or angle or if the player put himself in a position...as soon as you make contact with the head it's a flag and you're potentially out of the game.

These guys are competitors but they're also supposed to be brethren.

Lmfao people trying to use that hit to argue he should be in the AHL. After he's been one of our best forwards in the last 10-15ish games.

I just wanted to make sure he wasn't concussed but reading some takes I think I might have got one myself. Jesus, I hope those posts weren't actually serious and just wanted a reaction.
The troll thread on the main boards makes me smile.

I think it was a real concern last year. But that hit last night I think he knew was coming. But he did not expect a high hit like that. Suspension worthy in my opinion.

Give it a rest with this. Nobody has been more grumpy than me. You screamed for a rebuild- here it is.

Again, legit concern last year. But this is the first time he got rocked this year and he only got rocked because it was a hit to the head. That was not a caught in the train tacks moment, it was a player making a play and willing to take the hit. Unfortunately the hit was high.

Yeah, the guy aimed for the head, got his elbow up to make sure he would hit the head, and first point of contact was the head. It wasn't a "strong hockey play". It was a headshot. How they didn't call that us beyond me.
