Where would you prefer Slaf spend his 23-24 season?

Good game tonight, hes doing very nice things.

Still got that skill issue though. Not one dangerous shot taken. One nice pass in an obvious play but nothing else.

I understand theres no way they send him down now because hes playing well and is a useful player despite the offense... but its scary to think he just doesnt pull quality offensive moves.

You must not have watched the game if the bolded is what you came away with lol

That, or the blinders are thick, might want to loosen them up a bit.

Slaf not looking uber lost = He's playing amaaaaazing
I know you mean this sarcastically but it is actually true. Slaf is not looking lost anymore and he is creating offence game after game now. And he is actually doing it for the first time with someone NOT named Suzuki, Dach or Monahan as his center.

Let's sit back for a bit, ok? He is not going to Laval if he continues to play like he is now, never mind if he continues to improve more, as he likely will.

It was not a throwaway assist though. He made a good play to come out of the corner with the puck and set up a secoring chance.
He rimmed the puck on the opposite side. Positive play but he didnt set up the scoring chance.

He looked good though. Lets hope he finds his game offensively now that he doesn't look as lost.

MSL keeps putting him with scrubs that can't finish. Look at that pass, right on the tape.

He could have like 20 assists at this point.

Crazy

A good scorer here in Slaf’s place has a clear shot on net and can roof his backhand. Puck can also rebound off the goalie onto Caufield’s stick. It ‘s a Grade-A great scoring opportunity, If you forego that great opportunity it needs to be for a greater one.

Slaf needs to consider he needs to pass through a D and hit the tape at the right place at the right speed and Caufield needs to be on the ball. Too many variables. It didn’t work.

He still passes way too much. And if it’s because he can‘t shoot properly, he needs to stay after practice to work on it.

I missed the game in favour of a nap, but it's easy to assume by how few new pages there are so far, that he had an okay-good game.
It’s funny because this thread has exploded during a stretch where he played well and most of the posts are from detractors trying to downplay it. Just look at all the sarcastic posts about his game last night. Seems like folks are bothered that he’s playing well

Yeah it's OK as a fan to have an honest critique of a player but when so many so called fans constantly criticize a 19 year old even when he seems to be coming around and showing progress, that just tells me they are not fans at all.

Honestly I find it pretty interesting how these issues create so much division among the fanbase. I mean I am rooting for Slaf and I am very excited so I understand the emotion that is involved. I guess I feel like many people think he is the key piece that will make or break us. Others feel like management needs to be judged on this one moment. Personally I don't feel like he is all that important because the rebuild is going to take several more years and we will have many other good players come up... also unfortunately the management will make many mistakes along the way but ultimately will be judged by what the team is able to accomplish.

Anyways good game kid! Hope you can learn how to hold on to the puck a bit longer.

I agree, I was just laughing at this thread but maybe that wasn't clear!
