Yes.
But I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about typical bashing of other team's picks while ours shine like the sun on the ice,

Well, in fairness, this is a Habs forum. If you’re looking for unbiased and constructive discussion of OTHER team prospects and players, there’s always the mains.

If Slafkovsky was a rookie, he would be 35th in points in the NHL. This is the NHL First draft pick….He is heading for a season between 10 and 14pts.

I hope someone clipped that and can repost, I missed it.
Sarcasm! If he can use his frame to hit and win puck battles, Slaf can continue to build confidence/momentum. People are disappointed that he was a number 1 pick in a weak draft year. So far, Cooley is trending well, but do Habs want another 5'10" (174 lbs) player on the second or third line! Not sure many first overall pick can survive the Montreal media/fan scrutiny. It would have been nice to draft first overall in 2021 (Owen Power or Matt Berniers at #2) or 2023 (Bedard), but Habs drafted 1 in 2022. Good to accept it as it cannot be changed.

I would say Slaf is very good at skating and puck control for his size. He has no fear of using his body, but only uses it when he doesn’t have the puck.
Wright has a great shot and great finish. Slaf doesn’t.
Wright is mortally scared of physical contact. That’s why Slaf was in the NHL earlier.
No he isn’t.

Cooley has 10 pts in 14 games. Slafkovsky 12 in 53 games.

It's a shame we only get to see Slaf play during the first 2 periods of a game, and not much in the 3rd or in OT.

Interesting decision by MSL..
He's protecting leads like a dinosaur coach. I'm not sure why he keeps Caufield with two offensive blackholes thought. Might as well put 3 defensive forwards if that's the plan.

He doesn’t score goals, he doesn’t set up plays and he’s mediocre defensively despite what people around here sell you. Why would any coach play him in the third period of a close game?

If that's how you see him, fine, but then send him to Laval so he can play....

Part of it is not putting Slafkovsky in a position where he can cost us a game.

As much as I think he’s playing better he’s still prone to boneheaded penalties and turnovers.
