I'm curious on the second tierHe’s not a generational #1, nor is he in the first tier or even second tier yet. But worst is just a hyperbole. Older posters will remember Lawton, Daigle, Stefan and Kluzak. Some of the 70s draftees are disasters. He’s better than his stats lead you to believe.
I'm thinking first tier (stars and superstars)
Bedard (presumably)
Hughes
Dahlin
Matthews
McDavid
Mackinnon
Tavares
Stamkos
Kane
Crosby
That leaves
Slaf
Power
Laf
Hischler
Ekblad
Yak
RNH
Hall
Johnson
To make up tier 2 (very good NHL players), I think you could put :
Hischler
Ekblad
RNH
Hall
Johnson
In that group. I think when its all said and done Slaf and Power should hopefully be in that second tier of first overalls and not with the Lafs and Yaks. No offense intended towards Rags and Oilers fans.
