I think Lindberg can be a Boyle lite on a much cheaper contract. And eventually develop into a player very similar to Boyle. As of now you would think the forwards are

Hagelin Stepan St Louis
Kreider Miller Nash
Haggerty Brassard Zuccarello
Lindberg Moore Glass
Mueller

I wouldn't mind Gibbons, although I'd rather sign a guy like Winnik for that fourth line.

Gibbons would probably be cheaper, though.

Oh he's useful?

That's the criteria for becoming small and weak?

Great.

He's a good, bottom line player. What is your deal, man. We just made a run for the cup with a roster I'm sure...wait actually know you moaned and groaned about. Get over it. Smaller players are fine in today's NHL and many are far more useful then plugs like Glass.

So much of this going on around the whole board.

Small players can absolutely be dangerous. Rangers fans, of all fans, should know this.

Leafs have agreed to a 1 year deal with Mike Santorelli, $1.5 mil.

The Glass signing looks even worse every single day.

What about signing a Euro UFA with tons of skill that could be looking for a one year deal on the cheap to show what he's got, like Juhamatti Aaltonen?

Move Nash to the LW. Sign Winnik or Ott for the 4th winger spot.

Nash - Stepan - MSL
Kreider - Brassard - Zucc
Hagelin - Miller - Aaltonen
Winnik - Moore - Glass

what's my deal? why so touchy?

it confirms you're grasping at straws when you preface your argument for an obscure signing like Gibbons with... "we just went to the stanley cup...

We have 2 smaller forwards already in our top 6. They're there because one is an elite scorer, the other an up and coming talent. I don't want another 5-8 player, playing a bottom six role on a team that is not that physical, nor overly sizable...

The coach who brought the team to the finals wanted Glass. Maybe he knows something you and others don't?

Just like he knew something we didn't when he was playing Taylor Pyatt 15 minutes a night. Shocker that when he was shipped off our 4th line became one of the best in the NHL.

Every coach has favorites that are seemingly disastrous for one reason or another. Glass is one of those guys. He will be garbage here. I have no doubt.

Please tell me, what have the Rangers done as a management group to gain your blind faith? I'd like some pointers, considering that during my tenure as a fan, not much has been done to make me feel the same way.

You're the only one I see that constantly complains about players and the team, then blindly backs up the moves they make, only to complain once the season starts.

Much rather would've had Winnik than Glass, but who knows what Winnik is asking for since he still hasn't signed yet.

Instead of addressing the fact that you can't defend why you want Gibbons on a team that already has 2 small players, that isn't physical or big, you resort to a personal attack labeling me as a hypocritical and a convenient complainer?

All this because I didn't like Stralman as much as you?

"you're the only one..." lol.. :dunce:

It's July 3rd and people are still super-upset about a 1.45m contract? Seriously, I would understand if we signed Tanner Glass with a notion going "He'll complete our top6 nicely" but we didn't. It's a non-risk. He just has to match Dorsett's play, and frankly, is that so hard to do?

If he's that bad, put him in the press-box, trade him or just waive him. Adjustments can be made until the trade-deadline.

Tanner Glass sucks and his contract sucks, these are objective statements. The bigger issue is all the better, more useful players, who have been signed for LESS MONEY since the Rangers laid a steaming $1.5m turd down for Glass. A bunch of scoring walked out the door and has not yet been replaced. If this need is not addressed, the Rangers are going to be a bubble team. And then you consider that they signed Tanner Glass and it becomes even more befuddling.

Adjustments are harder to be made when we stole 1.5 mil from a possibly good player and gave it to Glass.

Could've given part of that to Winnik, or Stemp, or Gibbons. All incredibly superior players.
