I defended the JTM signing. Told you so.

*I better say this now because in 5 years the contract probably won’t look so good
While I do think the real problem with the extension does indeed hit the fan in 5 years I can give you props.

I did not see him getting even better on the PP at his age where I view players as finished products.
To the point where he is close to leading the league in points.

Supported the JT Miller signing and didn't want him to see him traded. JT Miller does it all and he is a player that is hard to play against, defiantely out #1 center. Imagine this team without Miller.

Be real,
if JT was playing at his current level in his 1st game here then no one would be complaining.

He's playing like a completely different player compared to his first 2 years here.
JT was our best player his first year here, while he has continued to improve, it didn't come out of nowhere. He really made that lotto line click.

Pretty insane the names he's amongst when looking at the past 5 seasons overall.

The grumpy JT we witnessed when he arrived in Van was nowhere close to where he is now.
His 2-way game and leadership qualities improved so significantly this year.
I'd even go as far as to say it's worthy of Selke Nomination if he keeps it up.

He is getting out chanced and out scored 5on5 after our hot start.

If you don't think a large percentage of long time dedicated Canucks fans didn't feel the same way I did then I dunno what to tell ya....

I AM quite honored that I made such an impact here during the dark decade that it warranted a quote out of the blue.

Hiding under WTG's bed...
It totally does.
I might not like Tocchet's in-game decision sometimes but he deserves his fair share of credits.
Boeser is another example of Tocchet's influence.

What came out of nowhere is his consistancy about his play without the puck (which always was his issue & was an issue on his previous teams). Tocchet seems to have been able to do "whatever" to get into his head.

lets hope we can win the cup within this time period. I think, we are getting close to another cup run as, the Canucks averages out to us making it to the finals every 14 years, so we are due to have a cup run soon, right guys? RIGHT???/

Well JT was a top 6 winger and part time 3C when he arrived here. He then instantly became 1st line winger and had an amazing first season driving the lotto line. His full-time move to C is more recent.

Miller has been great this season, and has been an impact player here, since the minute he arrived.

There was a loud vocal group here that wanted him traded (..many thought he was a locker room cancer...or he offended them somehow.)...Boeser as well.

I shudder to think where we would be without these two players..Probably hovering around the .500 mark.

And he is losing those matchups consistently.

He did shut down Mcdavid, and he has been consistently putting points, he is 2nd in league scoring. I don't understand your hate for the guy, the guy has been the most consistent player we have.

He has been great this year.

Does not mean we need to make up him being a 5on5 force.

Edit. Reply to the bolded part. Also you have not been reacting or replying to any of my posts on Miller that are positive. Maybe youve just missed them. Either way this is pretty tiresome shit.

One of the least talked about stars and borderline superstars in the league, and especially by Canucks fans. I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear his jersey. Yet, when he hangs em up we will likely be talking about a slam dunk ring of honour guy, and more if he can help lead us somewhere.

His 2021/22 season is one of the best Canucks offensive seasons of all time. His current season could end up being better than Hank's if he continues this. And his down seasons were merely PPG which was far more than you would expect from his contract at the time.

I think the reasons we don't idolize him like other stars are understandable but might look a little silly in a few years. His demeanour, the fact Benning traded for him at a weird time, or just that it was Benning in general? Or was it the fact he's american and cocky and kind of one of those annoying "good at everything" jocks that sucked to deal with in high school?

I hope he continues this pace and continues to shock people who aren't paying attention when they wander over to the scoring leaders page.

Sorry to be that guy but scoring is WAY UP league wide from when Hank and Dan dominated.

I dont think the two can be compared.

I remember a few weeks ago, there was a guy on the main board (think he was actually a Canucks fan) that claimed JTM is not "elite" because he wasn't "consistent" enough.

I am not sure at this point what else he has to do to be considered an "elite" player. People still use his production in NY and Tampa as support that he's not an elite player, despite that it's no longer relevant..
