Pavelski, Couture, Benn, Wheeler, Smyth, the twins, Tavares, not to mention Sid, Geno, Ovie, Burns, Thornton, Marleau, Dustin Brown, Kopitar, Getzlaf, Perry and plenty of others very productive into the mid to late 30’s. These guys that look after themselves can still produce at high levels on the back nine of their careers.

miller has been very good to start the year. if he keeps playing like this i actually think the canucks could make the playoffs. his play has really alleviated the need for another top 6 forward i thought the canucks needed to be an above average team this season

One year ago remember we were all talking about Miller's turnovers, bad attitude, giving up on plays, not being able to play center, etc,

It's night and day this season so far.

This is where recency bias kicks in and the bandwagon of hate takes over.

Miller was struggling but so was most of the team. His struggles were amplified because he yapped his own teammate and his general body language.

The amount of people whining on here about Miller was insufferable.

When Tocchet came in and provided some structure/order, Miller was back to his usual self - a 1C two way beast.

No it really isn't? People are being knee jerk

If they just let him be what he is and played him LW with Bo or Petey he instantly becomes one of the best LWs in hockey.

All these takes about can't play C yet he just had 99pts and was FAR and away the teams best player at C??

Is he ideal there No? Why because he's high risk high reward and with our roster anyone playing C being the next link to a btm5 defense playing a wide gap system is gonna create some issues. Add AHL goaltending a slow start and it's a bit of a disaster.

Good job - one of the FEW guys here who had reasonable takes last year.

Kudos to you bud

Slam dunk contest - this was like two weeks into the season btw after coming off a 99 point year.
I must be better with my 2nd language than your 1st because I clearly said he's a good player its his contract that makes me concerned.
As of right now its very good valued but when he starts to delince then it'll be concerning.

Once Horvat was out of this team, Miller has been sensational.

You can clearly see who the alpha dogs are in this team and who was the pup.

He was a bozo a lot and not held accountable by previous coaches…he’s grown up and he’s being held accountable by Tocchet. The results are quite evident now.
Bingo. He was ignoring his coaches, getting into it with Schenn, taking dumbass penalties, coasting and not backchecking. His attitude was total shit to start off the 2022-23 season.

The JT Miller we are seeing now looks infinitely better and more focused. Still has those lapses from time to time but it comes with his competitive personality.
