Player Discussion JT Miller Thread

The thing you love about Miller is that surely he has to be one of the most fiery competitors ever to wear a Canucks uniform. He cares, maybe too much at times. And let's it get the better of him.

But wouldn't you rather have a guy like that in your lineup as one of your 'go-to' leaders, than someone who just goes through the motions at times?

It's interesting looking at the Rangers board. They regard the trade of Miller to Tampa as one of the worst trades in franchise history......considering how long the Rangers have been around, that's pretty telling.

For the Canucks it came down to Miller or Horvat--and clearly they made the right call.

I think that was the single greatest game JT Miller has played at C for us.

He was a playoff type player. He wanted to win in bones.

I fear he has become a "professional" now.

I really like Pettersson's attitude, HE WANTS TO WIN not just make millions.

Miller may become the most expensive "shadow" in the league and in that he might make his effectiveness last longer as he ages.

I did wonder about Miller signing long term here in light of all the issues, sort of like he gave up on winning the cup and decided to go for the bucks.

Time will tell but the Miller of today will not be the same Miller in 3/4 years.

This is the best we've seen of him, and that includes his two beastly offensive seasons. He has 4 point in two games and he's shut down the best player in the world. I'm baffled somebody could make a negative out of that.

Also you're questioning his willingness to win for signing here? What kind of self defeating attitude is that. Man, Benning days are over lets cheer up just a little?

Benning will haunt this franchise for twice as long a Gillis was accused of.
Even though this management group did the OEL buyout complete with 8 more years of pain Elmer blew tow top ten picks and traded away another for 4 months of, well nothing and let 5 or 6 valuable assets walk for nothing.
Those all have an effect now on the franchise.

But Allvin does seem to be embracing Benning's losing philosophy of impatience and thinking fans are really stupid. At least he is treating them that way.

Aka being miserable for the sake of being miserable.

Oh I missed this.

I've met pro athletes like him yes.
Just like him I’m sure. In Finland. Were these high end pickle ball players or 2nd tier type?

He must be a barrel of laughs at a bbq or a gathering. Shaking his fist at the tv telling everyone how HE would run the team with all his expertise.

This sounds crazy but it feels at times like people long for the Benning years because everybody here was as miserable as they are.

Or maybe some people are just too traumatized (not to trivialize the word) to let it go?

Improving the team bit by bit does require patience.. it’s weird that you guys claim to be patient but advocate giving up right now and restart because you guys don’t see immediate solution, it’s almost like you guys have no patience at all.

So you don’t know him

Are you pretending again to know something despite not knowing.

you think you know miller because you met athletes.
You think you have medical knowledge because you are a physio.

You are such an expert in everything aren’t you.

Just be more careful next time to spout the correct line: "Brick by brick."

Your JT Miller / Lafferty / PK thing with Toxic?

You didnt even notice you did it?
I said Laff is going to take away Miller’s pk time.
He said game 2 showed that that’s not the case.
I said when Bluegar comes back then it’s going to be Bluegar and Laff playing the pk because Bluegar will be pk 1 and Laff will be pk2.

You guys have no f***ing clue what moving the post means.
