New York Rangers management to Tampa Bay Lightning management: “You take this bozo Miller off of our hands and you can name your price for McDonagh.”
What should concern management is, last year his value was at its highest. Career year, a cheaper contract, and another year(2023). Even then, it appears his value was fairly low relative to where it should be.Officially the first terrible contract signed by this new management
No wonder why not many teams wanted him last TDL
Kesler slacked off plenty, especially when it was clear he wanted to play elsewhere. It was always about him. And some of the stuff he pulled was just so classless as to make a fan wince. Not a winner IMHO.I've seen a lot of people in the past say that Kesler did similar things. He absolutely did. He was also a dick to the media and wouldn't answer for what he did. The difference was he NEVER slacked off or was a liability like Miller is. If you are setting a good example for work ethic then you get some leeway to be frustrated at those that slack off. If you glide back after giving the other team a 2 on 1, you don't get to criticize anyone ever.
I think you can sell him at a non loss to a team that has trouble attracting free agents. His cost certainty is a positive to teams without our unique hilariously bad situation. It would have to be in the off-season when teams aren’t blocked so harshly by the in-season cap. Please someone humour me with a realistic scenario where this guy can be off this team before next summer….

Doesn't his NTC kick in on July 1st?I think you can sell him at a non loss to a team that has trouble attracting free agents. I am hoping there is a way to make this work before that date. You can make trades past the deadline. You just can’t use those players in the post season.Doesn't his NTC kick in on July 1st?
People already forget that three years ago there was a individual that didn’t and immediately got traded
Me neither.Ok I'll bite, I can't think of who that was.
This is exactly how Canuck fans are . They jump the ship so easily no matter what . Gullible fans quickly come to defend him. Attitude on the ice is usually off the ice too
These athletes are suppose to do charity things, it’s in their contract. People already forget that three years ago there was a individual that didn’t and immediately got traded. The organization itself said that if you don’t work with the community that you don’t belong in the team. The whole video you can tell by his attitude and body language that he doesn’t want to be there . The only time he cracks a smile is when it’s all done and he’s ready to go home.
Videos with character guys like Kesler, Bieksa, Luongo, Twins, Horvat and Petey, even Boeser going to hospital and you can actually see that they genuinely care . Miller on the other hand… it’s a complete different attitude. he even took a picture of himself in the video and showed it to his wife, “ look I’m doing this “ . You know they edit all the footage right ? And that’s the best they can come out with. Even Myers looked more engaged and more like a leader than him
Sometimes you look at a guy like Jarome Iginla. This guy always has a smile on his face that sometimes it doesn’t seem real but hey at least he puts in the effort. There’s a reason why he’s one of the better leaders in nhl history
I don't think his contract is really that bad if you think he is a ppg player. I mean that in terms of the teams that should have wanted miller last year should actually like his current contract. It is not an overpay, is not maxed on years. You have to expect he will fall off in a few years.
To me if a team wanted miller to trade and sign with them last year, this contract shouldn't detract them. Maybe other things will be the contract shouldn't.
I’m not a fan of either of those players but I would way rather have them than Miller. The cap space alone makes it worth it.He may be not playing to his full potential but I’m glad we didn’t trade him for crap like Lafreniere and Kakko.

Like Elliotte said last night, it's not like this is the first time this has happened this has been happening since last year. His lack of hustle when a pass doesn't work out or his teammate coughs it up, he always does this lack of effort, that alone last year made me question resigning this guy, should of been traded made no sense.

Lafreniere’s nickname would be loser and Kakko’s would be uselessI feel he would be rejuvenated here, with his former agent being the AGM.
You don't get a nickname like Bozo without acting like one. Bozo Miller.
It's like Chandler on Friends getting the nickname "Skidmark." No explanation needed!
