Player Discussion Josh Anderson - The Rene Bourque Edition

The league got this one right and how they presented it was all good. Obviously wish they were more consistent with their calls but I'll call them out for the ones they mess up not the ones they get right.

That said I'm sorta of happy with Anderson anyways. I want Anderson to be playing on that edge and that means at times he'll cross the line like he did here and I accept that as the price to pay for the type of player I want on our team.

I mean, Not suspension worthy but Alex went awkwardly into boards.. anderson could have let up MORE than he did.

Did Kovacevic play enough to get sent down to the AHL without needing to go through waivers? I assume he goes down if Matheson comes back. Either that or Wideman gets waived.

Up front, for Dadonov, who does have some value playing on the PK, something a non-scoring Hoffman doesn't have, I bury Hoffman after waiving him. Better off giving the expiring contract for Dadonov a chance of fetching a 7th round pick at the deadline than trying to up the value of a useless Hoffman.

Dadonov - Evans - Armia as a 4th line?
Dadonov - Evans - Pezzetta?

Dadonov - Dvorak - Gallagher?

Slafkovsky - Monahan - ????

As for MTL, really has little impact. Anderson often is as much of a factor in games as Dadonov, Hoffman, Pez, etc. He can be a very impactful player, when he wants to.....

I disagree with the last line.

Clearly I'm not a fan of the player. But effort is not why. He always plays hard. He's just got very, very poor hockey IQ.

Not with Parros the puppet running the disciplinary part of it.Stupid play,yes but we've seen much worse not even get a penalty.Buttmans striped bozos always make sure of that

What is that supposed to mean? I have my doctorate in neuroscience with a minor in physics and I am a huge Iron Maiden fan. As a matter of fact, I think there is something wrong with people who don't like music and Iron Maiden. You don't like Hallowed be Thy Name? You don't like Fear of the Dark?

I guess you should stick to Mary Poppins.

Iron Maiden is a ridiculous 80's band who made metal/c*ck rock for adolescent boys. Steve Harris is a great bass player and they are not without talent but seriously........they are a childish meme from an adults perspective.

I do know some people who still like them and they are not complete troglodytes but the average fan from my experience generally has the world view equivalent of a caveman.

My comment was mostly tongue in cheek as I liked Maiden (was not a big fan by any means) as an 11 and 12 year old boy but grew out of it. I do recall The Filght of Icarus as my favourite song at the time though......I even drew the Piece of Mind album cover in grade 7 art class.

I'm 59 and like all metal. Kiss, Iron Maiden, Godsmack, Metallica, ACDC, Ozzy, and most of the punk rock groups. Music is music bud and has no age limits. And it sounds like you are a closet Maiden fan. You named some pretty choice tunes dude. I'm a smart metalhead. lol

Lot of good stuff there. Going by some peoples preconceived notions about taste in music,is it safe to assume that you are also a devil worshiper? lol.
