I don’t remember seeing or hearing that.

Do you have a link or was it just a random interview?

Anderson is on my team all day long. Like you said, adds toughness and speed while scoring 20-25 goals…..I’ll take that type of player and never look back.
no link. It was during a press conference. It was actually a French reporter who asked him and his response was "ou un choix."

Josh Anderson mentioned that he has worked alot with Adam Nicholas over the past few months and I think you can see that materializing.
He hangs on to the puck more, seems to make better decisions with the puck and even appears more consistent.
He has been noticeable in most games this season.

I agree, I feel it's been pretty evident he's changing his game in a positive way. More reason to keep him unless some team is willing to overpay. He's the type of player that's hard to find in the draft.

True, but that contract is just brutal. Unless, the cap significantly increases, no contender can fit an expensive third liner on their payroll. He's absolutely physical, tough to play against, and can score important goals which are valuable qualities to have, but I just don't see him traded anytime soon.

The contract is market value. Anderson scores goals. Ignore the year of his injury.

Not directed at anyone in particular but there's this strange vibe where the people who have the lowest opinions of Anderson as a hockey player have the highest opinions of his trade value.
And on these boards, often people who have the highest opinions of a player's value have the lowest estimate of his trade value, the only problem being that those players are playing for another team, LOL.

Absolutely, and his hands cant follow either.

With that said, is it a bad thing that hes flawed? Id much rather have a guy that can open space, play tough, hit and defend his teammates while scoriny 20 goals than a guy like Armia, Drouin, Dadonov, and others.
Agreed, at the end of the day you won't have a team filled with all-stars and as a complementary player you want them to bring something special that force the opposition to adjust. So even when Anderson isn't scoring he's still backing defenceman off because they have to respect his size and speed.

You can find fast little guys all over the NHL, but you cant find many guys with the combination of size , skill and speed he has. Not elite skills but you need guys like this to balance your team out. Not easy to find.

I think Slaf will play with Moneyhands™

Interesting that they seem to be punishing the act not the result (unless Pietrangelo was injured).

Two games was the max I thought he could get, remembering Brooks Orpik hitting Erik Cole from behind which broke his neck (from memory he got two games, basically because of the result).

The old logic was players have some responsibility to protect themselves on the ice. Maybe they are trying to send an early season message to others.

Edit: My bad, Orpik got 3 games that time. It was a serious imjury.

Fair suspension. Always find it funny though how the league is okay with guys jumping players after these incidents. Its not like raining punches on players afterwards couldnt easily end up being worse then the original incident.

As for MTL, really has little impact. Anderson often is as much of a factor in games as Dadonov, Hoffman, Pez, etc. He can be a very impactful player, when he wants to.....

Anderson saw the numbers and hit him anyways. Have to come down hard in hits like that or they'll keep happening.

I really hope so. Could make this suspension a blessing in disguise.

who gets the call-up
I say Dadonov miraculously recovers.

So NOW they are punishing the intent and not the injury. Will make sure to remember that when someone runs a Habs player from behind... we'll see how this mickey-mouse league reacts.

Anderson has zero toughness and is dumb as rocks

Since a suspended player still count on the active roster, nobody. And Hughes has to jettison someone by Tuesday since Dadonov should reintegrate the active roster by then as I don't think they can play the virus card farther than that since he's been doing full practice last week.

And then someone else for Matheson who is apparently returning earlier than anticipated...
