I think 25 goals for Anderson is a little more realistic. Probably 25g, 45-ish points.
Dvorak 25g, 50-ish points. Drouin 12g, 50-ish points. He'll be the playmaker for the other 2.
No 80-90 for all

/s

Seriously I think between 50-60 is about right for all three

If he play like yestarday... he can help to forget we don't draft Tkachuk. Tkachuk is better, but when Anderson play at his best... he is a beast mode.

He needs a new number .... that 17 is too Rene Bourque. Might be time to take 17 out of circulation I think Leclair cursed it. Since Leclair
Mark Lamb
Benoit Brunet
Jason Ward
Garth Murray
George Laraque
Dustin Boyd
Chris Campolli
Rene Bourque
Rene Tangradi
Torry Mitchell
Valiev
Kulak
Kovalchuk

Hopping Kovalchuk got rid of the bad Mojo because There has been a lot of underachieving in that jersey since Leclair wore it

Josh "The Minus Man" Anderson.

Very underwhelming. Skates great, does nothing else well.

What hurts also is, we knew Anderson, Drouin, and Armia had serious strengths, but also serious flaws to their game. But now, in addition to that, Gallagher, Toffoli, and Hoffman look like washed up vets. Dvorak and Suzuki are somewhat slow. And, Evans hasn't emerged as a 3c.

Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. We knew the defense would be medicore. But this forward corps can't make up for it. They may be even worse than the defense.

I never get why people were thinking that Evans was a good 3rd center. Dude was not even a top center in the junior. His clear role was always a 4th center and that's it.

I agree and Suzuki is not yet a regular 1st line center. I knew letting Danault would have a major impact on his O game.

Add the loss of Price and Weber and you have a lottery pick

I also doubted him as a 3c. But in addition to being a good 4c, I had him as a good winger that could play up and down the lineup. I thought he brought a little more offense than Lehkonen to a very good shutdown line of Evans-Danault-Gallagher. (also that he's at a 4th line salary would have helped balance out the overpayments for Danault and Gallagher).

Anderson was always going to be exactly what he was. A very fast power forward who's a 40pt 20/20 type who adds a dynamic element to a team. If management knew what they were doing, he might be the powerhorse of a fast, skilled team, instead of looking out of place on a slow, aged-up roster with very little skill and an even slower defense.

Yeah, right. He isn't anywhere near 0.5 ppg player. 59 games -15. He's a liability, plain and simple. The guy thinks he's Mario Lemiux because he can skate straight line and MB f***ed up with his salary.

I still don't know where to put Anderson though.

Because of his lack of skill, he takes away from a line's ability to make plays.

If he's so good, why is he not producing playing with Dvorak and Drouin?

As I feared the second he was given a contract, he is highly overpaid and will continue to be unless by some miracle he becomes more than he has been so far. His speed and toughness is nice but not worth a $5M+ per year contract.

I mean, while those two have more points than Anderson of course (especially Drouin and leading the team), we’re still just a team with 11 goals in 7 games and Perreault - who isn’t Anderson’s line mate - has 3 of those.

We just straight up suck. Anderson is what he is but I can’t really fault him for production at this point.

He’s not worth that contract he has though, for sure.

Fair enough about production. But the eye test since he's been here also hasn't been good.

Great skater, great size, great character. But hockey sense and IQ?

Tbf mostly everyone knew his hockey sense and IQ was lacking. He’s a big dude who can skate like the wind but you don’t know what you’re going to get. I remember thinking I’ve never seen someone so big and strong look so weak on the boards during our playoff run, and in the same game he still ended up scoring two goals because of his speed lol

I had him on the fourth line before the season started. He's a fourth liner, a very good one , but that's what he is. Or maybe he can be a 3rd liner if the main defensive duties are filled by the top 2 lines. But he has to be kept away from Drouin, Suzuki,Caufield and Toffoli.

Yeah it's crazy he can't win board battles. That doesn't take a whole lot of hockey IQ.

I suppose what Armia does takes skill and smarts. But Anderson is a work horse with a good work ethic. I feel if he studied what Armia does and worked on it, he could improve.
