The best part about Josh Anderson, it's he can play on 1st line, 2nd line, 3rd line and 4th line. This guy can play everywhere... like Joel Armia. We have Anderson and Armia they can play everywhere and have rare tools. Anderson is a top 6 player in my mind and Armia is a pretty good 3rd liner... but can play at top 6 role if we have injuries.

Got to watch him in Vegas in game one. I was impressed. Guys like him are few and far between. Hope he prospers in Montreal.

He came out like a Norse god in game 1 vs. Toronto. Then almost disappears until the Vegas series but then largely gets back on track despite the D issues. My guess is that something happened and after the big layoff he was able to nurse it well enough to get back to how he was playing. Makes the most sense. Never really heard about him being inconsistent before.

We'll see going forward. Calling this contract awful is really premature at this point. Even with the warts he can still will his way to the net like few can. I'm glad we have him. I think he can still be better.

Anderson will be a lot more dangerous next year if we could add a D or two who are strong puck movers. When our D are able to hit him with a pass at full speed in the neutral zone it is almost impossible for the other team to stop him.
Ah yes, the Pacioretty, I remember it well, the general nods his approval from the motherland.

I think Anderson he is the type of player who like play with the fans... so next year with fans... he is going to be a force. More consistency in his game and we have a pretty great top 6 powerforward who can put 25-30 goals, 55-60 points.

Anderson is a really weird case, the coaching staff will have to somehow integrate him more into some sort of system because now he's a wild horse out there.

Love this guy. He scored probably the most important goals for the team since the 1993 Cup. I don't have a problem with his contract like some others because he's still effective when he isn't scoring, unlike Gallagher, Tatar, Pacioretty - lots of those types of guys over the years. Size, grit, and speed. Glad to have him.

21k of fans in the building, and this will motivate this guy like there is no tomorrow......he will get a ton of crowd reaction laying out those hits!!! And......scoring goals of course.

Yes, I think that's going have a huge different on his play.

He can score, he can hit, he can fight and he is fast. The only play on his game i don't really like he is passing ability, but that's not matter because of his style of play. If he work on consistency and become better playmaker, we have a stud powerforward.

No kidding, hilarious!

Yeah, let's get rid of CC cuz he's under 5' 10". Suzuki? Get rid of that scrub, he's only 5'11". Gally.... f'in useless, put him on waivers, he's only 5'9". Awesome.

Let's clean house..... keep everybody that's 6 ft+

Andy - 24 pts one trick pony (I like the player, but compared the hobbits above?)
KK- Need I say more?
Army- 14 pts? (Again, I like the player, but seriously....)

Hobbit "infested"? Really? Those hobbits will be carrying the team on their back for the next few years. Gally will bounce back next season too.

I was laughing at the hobbit comment.
Relax dude.

Also Anderson is one of only 3 forwards over 6 feet on a Hobbit infested lineup

With Tatar gone, our only sub 6-foot forwards in the top 13 are: Caufield, Suzuki, Drouin, Gallagher and Perreault. Drouin can GTFO. But the other 4 are good in their role.

Yeah, but I remember the smurfs era..... this is a different lineup if not huge.

I do like Andy, but the small guys are great.

Anyway, relaxed. :)
Cheers

Habs have needed a winger like Anderson for years. Tough as nails.

Agreed. He's a one-dimensional player, but a dimension that's been lacking for some time. Hopefully, as some have suggested, he'll do better consistently with fans in the stands and be an even bigger contributor next season.

Truth to be told, his first season with Habs was really disappointing. People love the player he could be or the things he every now and then does. He had few warrior matches in playoffs but most of the time Andy was missing in action. He needs to be more involved and gel with his linemates. Power forwards' bodies broke down early so Ducharme better maximize his skillset because 35 point winger won't be enough.
