Lots of talk and rumors about Bernier for a top 6 LW, but I think DL wants a top 4 defenseman. If Willie is done and Scuds walks, we are not looking good back there.

This. Not enough people are talking about this. No reports have specifically said that we're looking for a top 6 LW. I actually wouldn't be surprised if we came away with the same deal as Foligno for Marc Methot last summer, except we're giving up Bernier and maybe getting another shut down dman (especially if we're on the verge of losing both Scuderi and Willie Mitchell).

Zucker AND Kuemper for Bernier isn't happening. Kuemper is a good goalie prospect himself. But to even ask about Granlund is most definitely absurt. The Saint will not be traded unless he deems Minnesota not worthy.

Zucker + Kuemper straight up for Bernier isn't likely (unless Quick gives Lombardi his Jedi powers). But I can see packages on both sides. Maybe Bernier + Pearson for those two.

Clutterbuck is a favorite of mine too. He and Brown together would be legendary.

If a deal is made with the Leafs and you guys land Frattin, you'll like him. He has a very heavy shot, decent wheels, and while not overtly physical, doesnt shy away and hits like a truck.

If he figures out his consistencey, he'll fill the net. The guy goes on incredible hot and cold streaks, although the cold may be due to an injury. He was ON FIRE this season, but had to have some surgery to clean up his knee, and that de-railed his offense it seems.

I am not keen on giving up Frats, guy was PPG guy before he had minor surgery to clear up an existing problem. Sooner offer our first than that tank, he hits like a hammer when he does has wheels and a wicked release. Anyways I hope we aren't giving you boys Frats for albeit a good tender. If you find the right chemistry and he snipes at even .75 PPG we lose this trade.

Would love this. Kuemper is kinda underated in my opinion and is just a bit better and a bit more ready then Jones.

Personally I wouldn't mind if LA got back a 1st rd pick in 2014 from Minnesota and a 2nd this season. Looking at LA's depth in the pipeline and the recent history of taking some overaged players in the last few years I hope LA keeps all ten picks this year and replenishes the prospect pool playing in juniors. I think we only have two prospects playing in the CHL this season.

According to Russo of the Wild, the Kings are asking for a backup goalie as part of the package for Bernier deal.

I don't agree with it, as we could just find a one-year solution via UFA, but it is what it is.

Ya I think that's a reporter just speculating. Probably does a quick glance at LAs depth chart and figures they need a backup because he's not familiar with Jones. Better option would be a bet on one year deal and then bring in jones in 2014-15

It's Russo so there is probably some weight to what he says. The guy definitely has connections and sources. Remember he was the one during the lockout that was conducting one on one interviews with Fletcher, Fehr and a few others. Man knows his hockey.

We already have a guy like that. His name is Anze.

Lots of Martin (or another player) the 1st and a B level prospect from the Isles (Poulin's name has come up but so has a couple of others) rumors all over the place. I have even now heard that we might be making a deal where it is JB + for a greater return has been offered.

Of course the Leafs Frattin + 2012 1st + Scrivens for Bernier + Ellerby (one name I have heard) + one of our 4rths was talked about as a possibility but only by one of the Leafs beat guys. I haven't heard anything about our response.

I love the idea of a 1st round pick and lean towards the Leafs because Frattin is the better winger.
I am wondering what the Devils would have to offer? And do you think there is a darkhorse out there? Is there a team that DL has talked to that we might not have heard about?

I have no idea what the Devils could offer. Their prospect pool is pretty bad, they are hosting the draft so they won't give-up their 1st this year, and they won't have a 1st next year

Maybe a bigger deal with the Kings adding? There's really only one target that would make sense and that is Henrique. Everyone else that would fit the bill doesn't make sense from either a salary or an age standpoint. That is one old team. I actually like Fayne, but I'm not sure if they are looking to move him.

NJ is thin on the wings just like LA, seems like a bad fit. I doubt they would give up one of Merrill or Boucher in a deal.

Seems like a 2013 1st round pick is a given at this point in the case of Toronto, NYI or Calgary (this is just speculation on my part), it gets interesting however if the team doesn't have a first (like Minnesota) or the first is probably too high (Philly or NJD).

I think it is possible that Fraser may be moved (waived dealt etc) with the hopes he goes down to MCH to help the kids come along and also be available if needed down the road. The potential of moving Nolan is there but I don't think we would move him as a result of our quitting on him. I think it would be to make room for another player(s). At this point nothing has been said that makes me think that any decision has been made, only that there is potential for him to be moved.

I want to see him stay and develop with the team rather than somewhere else.
