LW Jason Zucker + Goaltender Darcy Kuemper? What about Mikael Granlund? Can he play LW? Looks like he has played both C and LW. Is he untouchable?

Zucker AND Kuemper for Bernier isn't happening. Kuemper is a good goalie prospect himself. But to even ask about Granlund is most definitely absurt. The Saint will not be traded unless he deems Minnesota not worthy.

Now Fatty, it was said north o' the 49th that DL was nervous during this process that a team that may acquire JB will turn around and "flip" him to a division rival. So he (DL) may also be leary in giving him to a Division Rival. (i.e Calgary, Edmonton et al) As well, BB for CC deal cannot be compared as TB has/had cap issues, and may not have wanted to pay CC for any contractual accomplishments he may have achieved. TB is also playing with the idea of trading Vinnie + their 1st to have another team buy him out so as TB can resign him for cheaper.

I know. I just like going with a dark horse on this. I don't see him landing in Toronto. Maybe the Wild make more sense given what they have but I would like to have one of Calgary's firsts. 6th, 22nd and 28th.. :)

I can't imagine a goalie prospect who will be a RFA next year himself being the big piece we get in return for Bernier though. Just seems kinda odd unless someone like Zucker is included (since they don't have a 1st), perhaps the deal is bigger

A 3rd/4th liner in need of a raise and a mid 2nd? Frattin or Martin and a 1st are better deals

agree but just throwing things out there to better determine bernies value

i still believe we can package bernier/martinez or muzzin and get a stroke, courtier(not sure about spelling), schenn, etc

yes :) (seriously no, I just like to disagree with cns).

Disagree with the greatest poster HF has ever seen. The man with the biggest arms, the most charm, and who does a lot of harm. Playing with fire my friend.

;)

Highly doubt that, but with Homer who the hell really knows...

Kings please make zee trade already. Lol I've seen every proposal humanly possible already.

Been watching a lot of Muhammad Ali vids on youtube lately?

Chael P. Sonnen. How dare you mistake the great one with a peasant like Ali. The P stands for perfection. Undefeated UFC Middleweight AND Light Heavyweight Champ. At the same time.

I know, HfBoards definitely raised everyone's expectations now too, although I don't see it happening - imagine the trade ends up being something like - Frattin for Bernier + a 2nd. HFBoards will erupt, people were almost concluding Frattin & a 1st for Bernier!

Matt Read is my favourite Flyer since....... Mike Richards. If you guys get him as well I may just have to change teams! (Though it is nice to have Gagne back)

Definitely don't want another summer of Kings trade/sign speculation.

But it's so fun when 99% percent of the source information is literally non existent and nothing really happens lol.

Expectations : fix all problems.
Reality : Dwight king gets more minutes lol.

Probably a stupid question since Hockey players no doubt get injured all the time..... Are they healthy?
Because no ones ever been traded with say something like a broken foot...

Frattin missed 12 games in march with a left knee surgery

Read torn rib cage muscle... sound like that sucked but probably not too bad.

Jason Zucker (did have a head injury and missed 2 games this season same site as above) seemed interesting played a few games had a couple of goals and is only 22, 5'10" 175

what do people think of Tye McGinn (PHI) LW Wiki has him at 6'2" 205 ..

both McGinn and Zucker are on EL contracts and RFA's next year.....
Sounds like McGinn may be a better fit then Read... Bigger, younger.. RFA not UFA next year... has less experience which if the kings want this to fill a 2LW next year may not be good.

You're comparing Tye McGinn.....to Matt Read...? What you're essentially doing is comparing David Kolomatis to Slava Voynov.

As for players not being traded with broken legs, Colin Fraser was traded to us with a very very bad foot injury. But the deal went through because **** Ryan Smyth. A lot of guys will go through the year banged up. Nagging injuries that sting but don't take you out of the lineup are common.

If our doctors were able to find the foot issue with Fraser when Edmonton's doctors claimed he was healthy, I expect them to do their due diligence with any player we trade for. Although I'm not just sure if it's our doctors being good or Edmonton doctors being employees of the Oilers.

What's up with the title? What's wrong with Toronto anyway? Dean will likely take the best offer on the table from a team that won't flip Bernier over to our new division.

I actually liked what I saw from McGinn this year. IMO he plays with more consistent physical presence than Dwight King. However LA looks to have a glut of bottom 6 Fwds throughout the organization so adding another may not be wise.

heres the most likely thing to happen

Dean trades Bernier for the highest 1st rd possibly top 15 and a 2nd in 2014 which frees up money for scuds and holloway and possibly mitchell.

yes King will play more minutes and produce
King-Stoll-Toffoli is a damn good looking line
clifford-andreoff-lewis can be our shutdown 4th line

we need more speed on this team but most important we need a healthy D
