Yeah, great movie. I remember taking my 10-year old daughter and telling her that her grandfather worked on the Apollo program. Boy, was she impressed. She had no idea Grandpa helped to send men to the moon.

I really had no intention of coming back, but the stench of Mediocrity dragged me back in - for the moment anyway...

I've been away for a long time - not entirely of my choice. I accepted a long-term gig on the East Coast in 2011 right before Sutter was hired and found it extremely difficult to follow the team the way that I used to. I was happy that they actually won the Cup, but nowhere near as excited as I thought that I would be. Since then, I haven't attended a game in person (after having season tickets for 20+ years) and find that I don't miss it at all. I am back in SoCal now, but my enthusiasm is pretty much gone. Watching the games on TV used to be crucial - now I rarely watch, and I am much happier to ignore all of the AEG / organization crap that used to push my buttons.

I just couldn't ignore the statements Stevens made - how can ANY organization find that attitude acceptable?

Dumping Clifford and Pearson is a start. Clifford is one of those guys @BigKing talks about, I think he calls them "ey" types and not enough of those "ey" types have been moved on from the last few years. Pearson it's probably more of a hockey decision.

Hopefully not anyone like Mike Sullivan with the way some Pens fans talk. He sounds like Stevens. Too much time for vets, scapegoating young guys. Almost like most any coach will be like that.
