Players like Morrow wish they can keep up with 34 year old Liles.

He's a very high iq player with decent wheels and a very good first pass.

I think he's also a minus 5 in only 16 games.

Hes been placed in a top pairing role.

Liles has done well I would love to get him on a 1 year deal next year.

We looked a lot better with no Seids last night Im really hoping we can retain some cap and move on from him and Big Z....after one last playoff run.:yo:

I could say the same thing about Kevan Miller. He has played "top pair" with Chara at times, and his plus/minus leads the D? Liles moves the puck well, but he's not a good defender and he's 35.

Nothing against the guy, but I have no interest in seeing him back next season.

It's gotta be Carlo or Kevan Miller. Liles should definitely replace Colin Miller on the powerplay, either way.

That would be the wrong move. Colin is playing good right now. In fact, they need to instill in him to shoot more. Nobody on the team can shoot as good as him.

When JML returns unfortunately I think CMiller and Morrow are impacted...KMill not so much. KMill is over criticized here. He's far from useless.

can I just add what a pro Morrow has been through all of this. Yes I know he has a share of bad games but what do you expect for a guy who plays 2 then sits 20. This guy should be playing even if it's to raise trade interest.

Liles is decent but nobody is trading for him and he is not night and day better then Morrow. Having Liles in this lineup is a waste of young talent.

I think you are right, and that fits with what we've seen in the past. Morrow already isn't playing, so if anything, it makes it tougher on him than it already is, but you are right, Chiller is going to take the full impact. This is a shame, really, as his game is beginning to come around and we can see why he was pretty highly regarded by the Kings organization at one time.

I agree with you Killer is not useless- he has some great moments out there, and when he moves his legs, he is not a bad skater. But, his game seems at odds with what the Bruins are trying to do with improving exiting their own zone and juicing up their transition game. In those areas, KMill just isn't what they need- either Chiller or Morrow are better in that regard, even if they give up something to Kevan on the defensive/physicality side.

From a Clode point of view, however, Liles back gives you that puck moving game and at this point in their careers, is probably better than either Morrow or Chiller in how he thinks the game and sees it develop, and positioning. To which we can always say: how do we expect Chiller/Morrow to improve in these areas without the ice time? I'd prefer K Miller to get put into a rotation with McQuaid and let Chiller continue to develop especially as it doesn't look like we are just that small step away from being a playoff team at this point.

K.Miller was the less used D last game with a little over 15min. C.Miller was 2nd to Chara in ice time with a shade under 22min and was playing with Krug on the 2nd pairing.

If Liles ever check in, it should be K.Miller or McQuaid going out. C.Miller is playing well and getting rewarded by Julien with more ice time lately.

Chara-Carlo
Krug-C.Miller
Liles/Morrow-K.Miller/McQuaid

KMiller might be over criticized, but he's also been the worst D on the team this season in my opinion.

Good luck getting him out of the lineup with Julien still coaching. When Liles return, these will undoubtedly be the pairings:

Chara-Carlo
Krug-McQuaid
Liles-K Miller

Morrow and Colin Miller upstairs eating popcorn. :shakehead

I agree. Miller or mcquaid SHOULD be impacted.

But we've all witnessed enough to know that the kids almost always take the hit. His team is a mess.

He has 1 powerplay point in 66+ minutes of powerplay. Liles has 3 in 38.

Colin Miller has been atrocious on the powerplay all season.

Because they don't know how to use him. Play him on the right side of the point on PP. Tell to shoot when he gets the puck. This passing 15 times and shooting once isn't cutting it. They can't score on the PP. He has a shot comparable to Chara. Shoot!

Liles is probably the best passer on this team. When hes back we're a better team, and he is good on the PP. Who comes out? You know it wont be McQuaid or KMiller, unfortunately that leaves CMiller (in my eyes) as the fall guy, even though he has been one of our better D.
