Hell baby
There's a hearing because a player took a hit to the head. I don't understand why that's hard to grasp. Its been pretty common practice for the last couple of years.

Doesn't mean he's going to get suspended. Simply means that the league takes a very close look at all hits to the head. As they should.

Yeah and my argument is that it's only a hit to the head because the guy was losing an edge coming into contact. That's not on Liles. If he gets any sort of supplemental discipline it's a joke.

That's a fair point and I agree with you. But he hasn't gotten any supplemental discipline yet. So far, the NHL is simply following SOP when it comes to head hits. Nothing wrong with that.

Whatever.

The NHL and referees have been operating a secret conspiracy against Boston for years now...Better?

That's what we saw in Carolina. He's not going to put up 45-50 points like he did in his prime in Colorado, but he skates well, has a good first pass, does well at initiating a breakout, and plays unspectacular, yet calm and pretty sound defense. It didn't seem to matter who we played him with (Faulk, Pesce, Slavin, Jordan), or which side, you got a consistent game from him. He was a pretty calming influence to some of our young guys on D.

I think he's done very well so far. And I'm glad to hear he can be a calming influence on young defensemen, we need that.

When Miller gets boarded it's "he put himself in a vulnerable position". When another player puts himself in a vulnerable position it doesn't matter. Only one play leads to a hearing, or even a review. Kucherov returned as soon as protocol allowed. I believe players are being educated to play up any high hits now.

Miller should have pretended to have hit his head too, not just shoulder, it seems.

Oooh that cushiony glove to the side of the visor must have really hurt.

What a joke. Bet kucherov skated away without issue.

PK Subban elbows Giroux in the head and gets nothing...
If Liles gets anything from that you can chalk it up to typical NHL consistency.

Total ****ing horse **** if Liles gets any games for that play. First off, Liles is a very clean player. Hell, he doesn't even get many penalty minutes period, much less penalty minutes for anything close to dirty. Second, and more importantly, that simply was not targeting and was not reckless in any way. He obviously is trying to get ready to jockey for position. His forearm goes out and the TB player decides to get really low at about the same time. That is not the fault of Liles. It's funny how Subban can intentionally target the head of a star player and not a single thing happens, yet Liles makes a hockey play where the opposing player brings his head down to the level of the forearm and now there is a possible suspension. Seriously, **** the NHL if they suspend Liles.

The shove by Acciari is overlooked. I don't think liles gets anything
