he's a very good 3rd line winger to have at his cap hit...

can step up to top-6 briefly without being a net negative, and doesn't seem to have an ego issue with bouncing down to 4th line minutes as needed.

Can PK, good defensively and in puck possession, occasionally can contribute solid support offense... Unless he wants a big raise, i'd bring him back, but also would move him in a heartbeat if a contending team was willing to offer up a 1st (which isn't so unheard of... 1st for a bottom-6 contributor that fits cap of a contender loading up for playoff push).

Armia’s been one of the main reasons the PK sucks, IMO he slows down effective aggressiveness of the PK. I’d move him, he is who he is, he gives you 1-out of-8 games when he’s engaged

He's never engaged, he skates around like a victim. Sad considering his size. Not a guy you want on the bench when you are looking for inspiration, he's the one staring at the ceiling.

Never engaged and still manages to retrieve pucks like no one else on the team. Lmao. Plus he doesn't leak even when he's having a slump. Have fun playing against him next year <3

We get it, you love Armia and hate everyone else. Like your infamous quote about Anderson

Can't shoot, can't pass, can't handle the puck + can skate straight line = 7x 5.5M

Armia isn't a difference-maker, the team hasn't withered without him. Remove Anderson, the team has an entirely different look and gameplan.

Actually Armia is second in regular PKers on fewest goals against per 60 minutes trailing only Suzuki by 0.9. The others are not close.

His pairing of him and Danault lead the team however over 20 minutes of PK played in GA per 60 mins.

An outlier is him and Suzuki, they have conceded zero goals against but they've only played 6 mins of PK together.

The worst is Evans, followed by Byron, Lekhonen in that order (Ironically the players that are assumed to be most "Aggressive" on the PK.

With Tatar most likely gone and limited cap space (I'm assuming we'll re-sign Danault) we will need an affordable and proven middle-6 forward as a safety net for Caufield. I thought Armia was surely leaving, but perhaps the amount of time missed has lowered his price tag. He should definitely be one of the options we should consider. If Caulfield's ready for a top-9 role, Armia can slide down to the 4th line.

Apparently, he did have symptoms and suffered tiredness to the point he wasn't able to do a pushup. They've developed a special strength training program for him.

Don't know how long he'll be out, but I'm guessing at least another 2 weeks.

That's my expectation too, about 2 weeks of "physical rehabs" to get back into shape, but it's possible his cardio/conditioning won't be the same for months.

A frustrating player to have on your team because the talent should produce more output...but he's still valuable enough outside of points to have a spot on this team.

I hope they can find a way to keep him.

Would love to see him traded, but coming off of Covid, that is highly unlikely.

I'm thinking if you want to trade in Canada, the Flames are the only option. I really think the Canucks are DONE for the year. No playoffs, whats the point of them hitting the ice? Just an odd year.

so this entire stretch of his time off was all covid recovery? That's scary if it has taken him this long to recover fully.

Two weeks after getting sick and a bunch of negative tests as well. I think now he’s in conditioning recovery
